Couldn't agree more...... Except the the next week part.... Mont did however control themselves a little better.....

Was sittin up near the time keepers box and watched J Carey come up and press the siren to end the game at bout the 20 min mark of the last!!!!!

So now the goose is a time keeper also!!!!!
I think it was done as Norfth had nothing to play for so they wanted to bash the monty players who obviously couldn't fight back as they were in the grand final and didnt want to get rubbed out. So the leauge did the right thing IMO of shutting the game down as it was won and didn't want to see a blood bath of defenseless Monty players. Look bad for the league.

My 60 point win tip wasnt to far off.

Now River. You seem to have an opinion on everything but nothing ever positive.I'll give you a lead in here to do so:-

Can I ask you

a/ to expand on your plans for Heidelberg to join the EFL which you announced last week and how will this impact on their performance next week, behaviour wise,
b/What are your thoughts about the NFL's three umpire initiative,
c/Are Mont any chance in the Grannie next week,

That's enough questions for now, will await your educated reply.

I will not be answering any questions until you tell us who you are. Regards

Had a good look at the game yesterday. Mont looked realy good, better behaved than last week. Some good patches from North, however Mont had answers all day. Fourth quarter got pretty ugly. North nothing to play for, Mont GF next week. Some heavy work in the mellee.

Good initative by who ever to end game, could see something brewing, common sense, mercy rule.
Good to see players from both teams meet up and shook hands at end.

3 uimpires seemed to work well, not over umpired, no behind the game incidents, no problems with the umpiring. Cant blame umps for the loss.

Things looking good for a great GF next week. Hope weather fine, big crowd, great game to watch. Good luck to both teams.:thumbsu:

Dear sir, we would love to have you come and play at our football club. We will give you $45,000.00 which will include match payments, overseas holidays, bonus's and a guaranteed premiership.

Dear HFC, no thankyou. K.Carey:D

This is shaping up the most predictable finals series everyone kind of knew it always was going to be. :(Heidelberg & Mont are almost a mirror image of Geelong & Hawthorn in the AFL. Heidelberd/Geelong are clearly superior to Mont/Hawthorn who in turn are clearly superior to the 3rd, 4th, 5th teams etc.
Despite the pathetic attempts of a few Heidelberg supporters on here to try and paint heidelberg as some sort of underdogs I think nobody is going to be too surprised when Heidelberg win next saturday by a comfortable margin.
The eveness of division 2 this year and Thomastown's win is the best thing that has happened in the NFL this year.:thumbsu:

Whether you agree or disagree with his actions - does he actually have the power to do this under the rules of the game?

I can understand his motivation but should a single person ever have the ability to arbitrarily end the game with no input/agreement from either the officiating umpires or competing teams?

No disrespect cobber but you are the biggest tosser I have ever come across on an internet forum. Mont are every chance to roll Heidelberg on Saturday, providing they start well which will be crucial in the result of the match. However as a Heidelberg person I hope this does not happen and we come away with two flags on Saturday.

This is the same prick that threw out an umpires charge in second div because he did not believe there was anything in it. I thought that was the job of the tribunal. Maybe he thinks his middle name is GOD because that who he has been acting like. About time he pulled his head in before someone else does.

Good point, you would hope that he had consulted other NFL people prior to pressing the button.

Its hard to disagree with the decision, whilst not perfect to end a game early, you would hate Monty players to get rubbed out for sticking up for there mates or themselves.

Maybe the decision should be left up to the umpires, the people that actually are officiating the game.

does anyone know the actual rule?? if the game was called early would a losing team have any rights of apeal? not saying that anything should happen in this case because the resault was beyond doubt... surely it is up the the umpires on the ground to report players if things get out of control in the last few minutes and not up to some clown to run up and blow the siren early....

Quote saying that Norf should play Footy or take up boxing is funny.......

What about No 27 and No 43 of Mont maybe they should do the same...

If the played the ball they might give their team a chance of beating Heidelberg......

I think it comes under the duty of care of the players from the league.

It was the best thing ive seen the league do in a long time. Mont had won the game and Norfh new it and certain players acted on it by punching the mont players who obviously couldn't fight back. Lets just say a few Norfh players will be having a VERY long summer break if at all being allowed back into the league.

I was right in front of the scuffle, #39 (Scannell?) was taunting Dizzy all qtr when he came down that end. Dizzy ignored most of it until a scuffle with other players (McGough & Ali?) gave Scannell the opportunity to throw one at Dizzy. #5 (Trenna?) also chucked some cheap blows into Bombers ribs while he was on the ground trying break the fight up.

Pretty sad really, if North played football they might have come closer. I dont see how acting tough and threatening players is going to help you beat a team who has already got your measure the past 2 outings and is not afraid of some physical contact.

Its friggin football... maybe they should quit and tryout for a boxing career? Or its more fun to throw cheap hits on the footy field?

I understand some aggression, but when it comes down to wacking other blokes.. its pathetic.[/quote]

Santoro?

Whats that thing they say about rocks and glass houses?

Santoro is an idiot i agree and my quote earlier goes for him too. But i was right in front of the melee that occured and you could see it coming a mile away when the Mont players were not provoking it.

From what i saw on Sunday, Santoro had his head over the ball. Can't say that about Scannell... i supose its hard when you can't get near the ball :D

get on the mont boys for the big one, ..no suspensions, about 50 blokes to pick from, and sagey and benny finnin are back, two big inclusions, ... regarding sundays game against the pigs from shelly st, leigh scannel is by far the dirtiest shittest scummiest footbaler to ever pull on the boots, he would have knicked those boots from some poor bloke ..pig.. the way he goes about his footy is a disgrace and shouldnt be able to play again, not just for the fact that his probably the worst footballer in that side, by a mile, but because he snipes and gets away with it, little prick, you all go on about santoro being a thug, but since his been in monty colours his settled right down, and he puts his head over the footy and can actually play the game to, where as scannel cant, absolute cat that bloke, back on to the big one this sat, watch for monts run and carry to be the big game winning part of the day, bog joffa byron or m mcough, pee wee pavitt to kick 5 and smash haydock, murphy to have a shocker like the soft player he is, mont by 3 goals...the game that i have the most intrest in is the rezzies, monty will win this one by around 4 goals, heidleberg can not put up with monts run, carry , fitness and skill around on the big ground, heidelebrg may be tough and expercined but they r not fit, and if monty r in front or within 4 goals at halftime, watch them run over the top of the slobs from rosanna rd, monty by 4 goals, stevens or pepyat for the bog, and little banbury to kick 4 ..bury those pricks

Lets see where his head is when it counts on Saturday.

13 goals to make up on Heid.................

Don't you mean Mont can't run with Heid???????

Maybe Mont should be sponsored by Kleenex..................

Hope Mont get beat again..

Remember your record in FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!

without a doubt under the packs getting the ball out mate... his not a cat like the heidelberg boys

Meow Meow.......................

Was someone shot in the last quarter cause half the mont side were trying to get off the field and the bench didn't want to come back on..........

Bad luck to Norf, Caddy would have made a big difference to you boys if he was out there................

Perhaps you would like to meet Scannell can be arranged for this saturday if you have the guts to say to his face but I doubt that

Mmm. If you were a piece of bread you would be worried. The misconduct charge is for biting.

Maybe intoduce him to the bloke in the hotdog stand.
