Actually would be interested to see a wedding at half time, may save me from having a few in the rooms watching my quaddie go out the door.

Watched the 1st Qtr of Heid vs W.Preston. West started well, then it seems as though the Tigers took over from Qtr time. What the hell has happened to the ground at the Den? It was is good nick only a few short weeks ago.

Watched Qtr & bit of MacLeod vs Bundoora. Scrappy game. Inferior skills in comparision to Heid/West Pres. MacLeod CHF (O'Brien) looks promising. Good pace off the mark and smart leads. Pity the Macleod midfielders couldn't hit him, or Lynchy, during what I saw. Macleod alos had a few cheats who run wide of the contest. Not that that's a bad thing, however I think you can only carry so many of these type of players.

Last match was Northcote vs Monty. Good come back by Monty, however Northcote had too many options up forward/midfield to allow Monty to steal the win.

Thoughts overall (comparing all 6 teams I watched).

MacLeod still a small team and very young. Not many big bodies. By big I mean size and height. Andrew brothers are good size, however lack height. IE Key position players.
Bundoora - Will threaten teams because of their consistent intensity. Again, not an abundance of key position players, and their smalls are real small. As well as lacking genuine pace. Good tall was Hogg, however he doesn't take enough marks around the ground.
Montmorency - Did have 2 talls who could take a grab up forward. Small players also lack pace, however are hard at the contest. (Which was needed in Northcote's centre square glue pot). Lacks intensity across each line
Northcote - I liked their structure. Good talls who compete well in the air and at ground level. Good run my med's from backline. Smalls do have some pace, however a couple did seem very young and small bodied (Come finals footy could be exposed)
West Preston - Smalls are too small and again lack pace. No kicking depth either by the smalls. The tall forwards were good sizes, yet mobility was poor - CHF & FF. (Lacked 2nd & 3rd leads when needed) Lofty was able to zone off them knowing that he could make it back to them if he needed - because of their lack of pace and effort.
Heidelberg - Smalls who do possess pace. Talls who are agile and continual effort. Goof looks like he lacks agility, however gets around the ground well. Speed of ball movement was very good as was their willingness to run wide to create space. Liked their style.

From what I saw the 2 better teams (structure/game style/intensity) were Heidelberg & Northcote Park. Bundoora didn't seem to have enough tall timber to structure up well, however I did like their consistent effort across the board.

Great summary after watching 30 minutes tho.

DC, We cant give shit bout D2 when we celebrate the YO YO coterie club. Eatings cheating. Not that long ago, central was a lot worse. EVERY club has shit pretending to be supporters. Mayby 1 yellow should of/ could of been handed out. Beer is gold (GREEN), no matter what it cost. Can i put out an invite to all Berger players for a free seafood night on Thursday. Trying to organise an indoor pool for a bit of relaxation. Hoping the entire senior list can make it

its just that if i was going to make a fuss and get married at half time of the firsts, i would hope its to someone better looking then snakebite! :D

ps if your quaddie does get up, you should come and shout me and the bride a drink aat the bar after the game!;)

Any danger of someone from Lalor uploading the results from the weekend? I am pretty sure the internet has reached that part of Melbourne by now.

all of them are eligible, just lauchie considine still injured fingers crossed for him to be right come finals though...

A Heidelberg person interested in U19s? :confused:...............Interested on some more 'home grown talent' Boof. :D Macleod have some good young kids and with your future being the whipping boys of the U19s thats probably a smart move :thumbsu:

K.A's own personal record is 32 Dimmies in approx 8 mins @ the Lower on the Monday after the Panthers 97 Flag.

And unlike those cheating bastards, mine were whole and a mixture of steamed, fried, & frozen.

Had a later challenge back in the early 2000's after a Lower Eltham Troopers Cricket Grand Final, where K.A was beaten by a 1/2 a dimmy (22 v 22.5) by a bloke who shall remain nameless, but lets say his last name rhymes with sh1thard. Mind you, he didn't eat a Nandos Family sized Aussie pizza before hand like I did, but other than that he won fairly.

The old Hiatus Herna has been playing up in recent years, so I now refrain from eating more than a dozen steamed or 10 fried in any one sitting, nowdays.

Might have a crack if the Panthers beat that mob with the Black Jumpers with a yellow streak down their back, this saturday :D

Thought I was doing well watching a half at Macleod and a half at Heidelberg. You missed the best of Bundoora - 7 goals to 0 at Qtr time. Healthy crowd at Macleod there to see it.

As for Heidelberg's oval I would have to say it has been that poor for several weeks, and it shows why you should try and keep the junior club and senior club at different grounds if at all possible, because I'm guessing there are 6 or 7 games on there every second weekend. My boy played there in juniors in mid June and recently and it was a glue pot both times.
 
Looks like we have 3 teams going for 2 spots in Div 1. The equations could not be simpler. Eltham need to win at last one game (or hope that Bundoora beat Northcote Park). Bundoora need to win 1 game (if Eltham lose to Heidelberg). If they win against Northcote Park, they will play finals. If Northcote Park win both games, they will be finals bound.
 
Will Haysey suit up this week to play against some of his old mates???

Will K.A. find the canteen worth a vote???

Have to admit Heids ground is starting to resemble the Panther ground of old......
