Didn't see you there although I did run into Bruce Almighty. What a great day ! Rodney Hogg absolute best entertainment - had the audience in stitches , 2nds had a great win after being challenged, then the seniors put the icing on the cake. I think it's been 28 years since we beat Heidelberg. Great effort by us
Well done underbelly, way to good for the bergs today, not to sure about your post yesterday would have thought Macleod had everything to play for, just next time a little more colder and decent grog thanks. Just on another tack if Macleod beat Boro next week and Mont and NP win snakes out on percentage, how's that for a bit of food for thought.

I was to do a bar shift but it was apparent early that the Boags Bar wasn't going to be too popular and I ended up not required. I don't think topless barmaids would have increased sales. Should be an interesting round next week. Don't expect us to beat Greensborough - we can't win at grounds that run east to west. Just a theory of mine

Very intriguing last round. It is feasible that 11 wins 7 losses wont be enough to play finals.

Mont coming good at the right time - last three weeks have been as good as I've seen a Mont team for a while - esp yesterday. But is it too late??

Bulls have some thinking to do - while I was gushing over how good they were early in the season, its seems they lack just a little bit of zip. Have some very good onballers - that are also a little once paced.

The Boags bar was the only low light of a great day at DeWinton, big turn out for the lunch with Hoggy, great weather, big crowd and a Macleod win...
interesting to see Caddy playing on the ball, maybe the thought was to try and break open the packs a bit with his size but it didnt help.
The young ump had a strange day, boof vidio shows one of his classics.

9 in a row then ran smack bang into Puffa's tri-colour brick wall at De Winton. Swamped by a young, hungry (and very quick) unit. Son of Ralph led the way with 5. At least the fridge had been re-stocked to drown the post match sorrows. Thanks to Donuts and Ralph for not rubbing our noses in it too much.

How did you come up with that horrible theory? Greensborough has beaten West Preston and Heidelberg on there larger home grounds but lost to them at war memorial park!:thumbsu:

Greensborough would suit a larger ground. I dunno how many times you have watched them this year but i wouldn't be suprised if they were the fastest team and the fitness in the league at the moment.

Time will tell my friend. I hope they make finals as they do give some of the top sides a shake. but from what I've heard, northcote ran rings around them on the weekend.

Northcote gave The slime I real touch up. GB Looked flat and Northcote Park was full of run.

Yeah was a horrible loss by the boro. Intresting last round. A win for boro could see them go to 3rd while a loss could send them out of the finals! Dont see scenerios like that all to often:thumbsu:

Talk about horible losses, what is going at Bundoora. They were flat, uninterested and (gulp) Non competetive! Great game by Mont, would go as far to say the best I have seen them play for years.
This last round will be a cracker.
Who is the radio covering and can they please ensure they have constant score updates from other grounds as the drama unfolds.

There was some talk about GB being quick. Word came down the line that Macleod were the quickest in the League. After seeing both at their respective home grounds there's not much between either. This one's gonna come down to who can knock the wind out of who's sail first n best. With this in mind, I lean towards GB. They've got more animal in em.

Can't really argue about that Boof except I thought Heidelberg had more animal in them too. Go figure . As I mentioned earlier, we don't win on grounds that go east/west. Why they built football grounds that way amazes me - don't they take the suns position into account ?

For reasons best known to themselves, lets just say the hand of grace was uncharacteristically extended on numerous occasions. Along with being outplayed. Game over! However, we find condolences in small mercies.

For sure the grounds were designed by person(s) never to have played footy.

They can only get constant score updates if people ring them in or post them on their Facebook page.

As for Bundoora, they have always played great finals series, and now with the more talented and balanced side this season will I am sure go all the way, but hell what a Finals series it will be the most competitive in years

Since when has Bundoora played a great finals series. They keep finding a new way to lose. Will possibly go out in straight sets this year.

Can anyone shed some light on the following. I am aware that an EFL senior coach (Div 1) gets paid $40K for the season. I have heard a TAC coach gets $25K. I am guessing that some NFL clubs coaches must get paid well, especially if the 'player' sign on fees that I am told are accurate (Epping). What does an NFL senior coach get paid for the season ? I am guessing it would be more than the better players within the team - due to the extra workload a coach would need to do - IE preparation etc. Or do the better players earn more than the Senior coach? And I would also presume that the Div 1 coaches get more than Div 2, and Div 2 more than Div 3? Curious to know how the NFL coaches are paid, cause I would have thought that it's a pretty good pay packet for the EFL coach. Or is it the norm?

There would be no coach in this comp at that figure. and I would say few if any would be on half that figure
