Re: Northern Football League U19's

whats gettin the pill got to do with baggin him?y do all you eltham boys have to come to protect kickass evrytime he gets his fair whack, he dishes it out more than any1 else, just doesnt like it when he gets it back.. and good on him if hes a dvfl legend, kudos to him, but thats not to say any1 couldnt be a dvfl legend if they just played and stuck around a football club all their life, thing is most people have a life and move on after a while. and im not sure your the one that should be tellin others to get the pill, id be worrying about your own statline.

LOL,

I'd prefer to say I'm a Big Footy Legend, but thanks for the accolades.

I'm happy to cop all shit that comes my way - it kind of gets me off in a very kinky kind of way.

But I do enjoy giving it out as well.

In the words of the Great Chris Judd - "it is only a game" :thumbsu:

Unfotunate that Lalor couldn't get the numbers up for today. But in the end a great advertisement for junior footy with the Mont and Lalor boys mixing up and having a scratch match.:thumbsu:

FULL CREDITS TO THE UMPIRE WHO CHOSE TO STAY AROUND AND LOOK AFTER THE SCRATCH MATCH.:thumbsu:

If i remember correctly eltham dropped players for the finals not bundy. Bundy seniors were still playing

exactly right, bundoora didnt drop any players and even if we did it would have been legal because all the bulls eligible u19s had played the correct amount of games to qualify.

Re: Northern Football League U19's

bundoora 27 points winners over the panthers rumour is eltham have conceded that they will be no good without Varsa Merkel and Brendan o'sullivan in there 19's.

People who are already writing off Eltham should think back to round 2 last year when Bundoora beat Eltham by 100 points. It is only round 5 and there's still a lot of improvement in the Panthers, with some handy inclusions to come back into the side who didnt play against Bundy, and I'm not talking about players playing 1s. Bundoora were solid though and will be up there again come finals time.

agreed, it was a good alround contest with some pretty high quality u19s footy being played at times. both teams have quality players to come back (again not talking about senior players). should be another hard fought contest next time around again too. but one thing i dont understand is why so much talk about eltham and bundy when west is sitting pretty on top. i must say ask though, what was the match like between eltham and west? i know the end result was 30 points but was it a tight contest up until then? did eltham have players down, or were west just too good? and seeing as though you panthers have played both the bulls and roosters, who would you say has the upper hand going into their match in round 6?

Re: Northern Football League U19's

freddo.. west are full of good young players.. no idea where they've come from.. should be a good unit. Eltham just ran out of legs against them, they kicked 8 in the last to bring it home..eltham never play well at west but were beaten by a better side..definately must watch them.

i think no corey smith and tim chapman didnt help the panther cause against ur mob either freddo. that ali samie is a gun, # 20 wasnt to bad either, youse will be hard to beat come finals time.

Eltham would definately have been disappointed with their performance. It was close all day but Panthers were flat, skills were down and they never seemed to get going. Then west pulled away in the last 10-15 mins. You'd think West and Bundy would be fairly evenly matched but it depends if west can stund up when put under real pressure.

Re: Northern Football League U19's

it will be interesting to see how our boys play out at west after last years terrible peformance there, both teams this year are not overly tall so should be a fast running game:thumbsu:

West Prestons U19 team is made up of alot of new and excitng tallent. There was only 5 players in the side that defeated Eltham that played the year before. The rest have all come up from under 17 football.

Ali is a good player that served an excellent apprentiship as a member of West's succesfull 2006 squad, were he would have learnt alot from many experienced players and coaches.

Cant say that Im liking him in the blue & white uniform, but good luck to him.

Keep it on-topic guys. I don't mind a bit of sledging and stuff but please keep it tasteful and try not to get personal.

Ahhh moosey, the top job is going to your head, I remember not to long ago you were the instigator of most if not all sledging that occurs on under 19's big footy thread, do you still think that div 1 19's is no good and div 2 19's is better standard? All in good fun moosey, congrats on the appointment. :thumbsu:

Re: Northern Football League U19's

Nah Sledging is all good fun although it needs to kept footy related. No-one needs to call someone else a pedophile... Like I always said, Divvy 2 u19s sides can match it with the top divvy 1 sides. Its only the sides outside the top four that are a fair way behind.

You know our side last year would have gone very close in divvy 1 with the likes of Shelton, Stewart and Anderson...

Moosey, good reply lol...But I have to say that the Demons would not have made the four in div 1 last year. Yes Shelton is gun, can match it with anyone, but as for Benny and he's a good mate of mine, he is also a very good player but not in the same ilk as Shelton. If there your best 3 players, and throw yourself in there to make it four compare them to Bundooras best 4, Elthams best 4, N/Parks best 4 and Greensboroughs best 4 and I think you will find that they may not be quite as good, and then there is your lesser players which in the end determine games. Who ever has the worst 5-8 players will lose almost every time. But like I say, good reply lol.

mernda still trying to play?

Re: Northern Football League U19's

West's form not good enough to warrent classification of top 4 sides Gow? After all they lead u boys a merry dance last year down at moore park, if my memory is correct u were tagged out of that game and shut up shop just before 3/4 time?

Mernda are doing well considering they had 12 players on the list the tuesday before round 1. A bit of talent running around but they are all relatively new to eachother so give them a year to gel.

On our team last year they were not our top three. We had a very even team and thats what helped us. We had 3 or 4 blokes that could play every position on the ground and all the blokes played for eachother. Not saying we would have dominated but we would have been a very good show.
