Can someone give me some details on certain players that will stand up for them next year. Have good top and bottom age players and should go well but who will dominate?

Based purely on this season,

Anderson - lightning quick midfielder
Duff - Potentially a good key forward who has a few interested already
Anthony - Key backman
Meese - Bang and crash ruck who gets his fair share of the ball around the ground
Perry - Small defender who showed a little bit of potential
Riddle - Medium defender with strength who played some great footy in the finals.
Meredith - 16 yr old this yr who got a few games in and appears to be well rated by them
Varsamakis and Sandy did alright on occassions as well this season, I reckon both could go alright.

Dunno how school footy impacts on a couple of those blokes though, hopefully not too much.

bottom agers a plenty comming through, some real good talent:

Patrick Veszpremi: Solidly built centremen who's based at st mary's. would be 180 cm's but be an easy 80+ kg's. Made Vic Metro U16 training squad in 05, but didnt progress. Dominated at U16 carnival vs Calder, Sandringham.

Tim Bongetti: If the AIS-AFL AA team was based on position, he wouldve been full back in it. Plays full foward/ chf for his local club though, indicating his flexibility. 189+ cm, 85+ kg player who has reasonable skills but is physically strong. Very good at contesting in the air, and is a tremendous competitor, will not be beaten one on one. U16 Vic Metro rep.

James Tantis-Hall: Selected i the Vic Metro U16 trainign squad but withdrew as a result of a foot injury. Solidily built, 184 cm 85kg Onballer/ HBF with fair pace and reasonable skills. Will have skool commitments though with Marcellin College, where he plays FF.

Jack Grimes: Captined the successful Vic Metro U16 team to championship success. Took the highly regarded Bryce Gibbs and took him to the cleaners. Fantastic person, Jack is very capable on his day. A tall midfielder, 185 cm and 80 something kg, so he has worked hard to gain on his physical frame. However, his tackling and intensity at the footy is fantastic. Skills are very good.

Dan Curry: Crusher is a 196cm ruckmen with some potential. Made U16 Vic Metro side, however was used sparingly on the bench, but was still a very valuable contributor, especially in Metro's 21 point win in game 2. Brother of Paul Currie, he will challenge for the second ruck position next year at knights.

Jake Spiteri: Vic Metro U16 rep this year who was a very valuable contributer to the team. 192 cm, 84 kg chb/ chf kpp who has fair aerobic capacity for a big bloke. Played on the highly regarded ben reid in the trials vs country leading up to the carnival, and absolutley wiped the floor with him. Very versatile.

Aaron Coen: His brother played for knights this year. I liekt he way this kid plays, is a class act. Is about 184 cm and about 75+ kg's, he is a silky hbf/ bp player with fair skills and know's where to find the footy. back himself, takes risks from the backline, very handy player for the knights in 2006. Vic Metro U16 training squad 05.

Matthew Kruizer: Already spoke about him ina previous thread i started. Everyone has heard enough, and all the mail is true. Very promising ruckmen, 197 cm's now and 90+ kg's. Got good disposal, is the ebst tap ruckman in the U16 age group in australia. Vic Metro U16 MVP, Runner up Vic Metro U16 best and fairest and to cap off a great carnival AIS selection.

Brett Meredith: 184cm midfielder who played 6/7 games for knights U18's this year. VEry good in congestion, he is an inside midfielder capable of busting open packs with his 80+ kg frame. He is a greta finisher, gets foward and kicks goals with his clean foot skills. Has got a fair amount of pace, and great at clearances, probably one of the best in Victoria Metropolitan. Vic Metro U16 rep in 2005, has what it takes to go all the way.

played against both patrick vespremi and matt kruezer, kruzer is very skinny and doesnt move all that well around the ground although he more often then not gets first hand on the ball in the ruck, vespremi is class. Matt Jessop is another one that can play from st marys. Jason Kelly from St Damians goes alright

i dunno wat plant uve been smokin quam, but how can u say that kruezer is one skinny and two doesnt cover the ground well? i ve played vic metrow itht he kid last 2 years, All australian both years competing against fella's like sellar and mcevoy in the ruck. U got no idea buddy sorry

i actually know all the st.marys boys....patty is massive..kruzier is absolutely awesome...he goes well for pace for a giant..matty jessop is a hog, just watch the st.marys grand final.Does anyone rate JUSTIN BANBURY because he dominated some games for st.marys kicking 7 goals 3 times, bit skinny but has alot of potential...thoughts?

Banbury - Gun but there is a bloke down at St Marys i saw when watching the tape of the grand final and was number 23. They called him The Package....does anyone know of this kid....done some good things and kicked the sealer

Actually saw 23, dunno who he was but he seemed a pretty handy player..i'd love to know his name aswell..

But the bloke for northern i saw yesterday that i haven't spoke to for ages was Chris Varsamarkis. This kid is intimidating, he is huge. I heard he can kick amazing on both feet. He said yesty over the last couple months he has been getting fit..good to hear and a good bloke...anyone got anything else on this bloke...footyman?

Left Footer, but does use both, quite a powerful kick on the left. Played HBF/HFF. Yeah a big unit but hopefully doesnt impact on his speed cos that is still important. You'd presume a midfielder next season.

Tended to come on and off the bench a bit this season at the Knights, best I saw from him was against Sandy Dragons had about 8 touches in the last quarter really pushing forward hard and finding space and working to the front of contests in the forward line.

I'll be interested to see how he goes next season, hopefully he is fully fit and able to show his best form.

Yeah footyman, he said knights have told him to get off the weights haha not suprising, knights have also upgarded his porgram to alot of cardio and pretty much zero weights.

The kid is still 16! I think he turns 17 in December some time. Has a lot of potential, but I'm sure anyone that knows him would be safe in saying he hasn't showed it yet at TAC level. Watch out for him in 2006.

i know him through skool he is round 81kg and 181cm BMW is exagereating on the 3 sets of 8 on 100kg the kids max bench was round 105-110 mark he has been injured with back injurys but has just started running and is getting himself right for next season

Threw it in half way through pre-season. Ended up playing one's football for Northcote Park when he was still elligable for under 17's.
