Team Usa start well in the opener..Miller has quite an easy ride on day 1

i quite like the yanks top two lines, they have 4 quality wingers in Parise, Kane, Ryan and Kessel, and if stastny and pavelski can stand up as pivots then they could scare canada in the their group game

I wouldnt say easy from what I'm watching right now. USA looked out of sorts because they havent played with each other. Canada has it easy because a lot of said forwards have played together.. aka the Burger line and Crosby/Bergeron

When a goaly like Miller only faces 15 shots, more often than not he will only let in 1 or less..

that game did loom as a scare for the red white and blue, they needed to build some chemistry in it and played well enough for a teams first go at it..

Clinical in the end, helps when you have some combo's out there that already have chemistry, something the USA lacked today. Only two pairs of players on the US team that have played together and both pairs don't play with each other normally.

We've had Fox for about 15 years (not kidding) and still paid, never even knew this rule.

Still, Foxtel are legends, this coverage is amazing.

Probably, which blows. We've only had it since 2006, so definitely not 5 years for us yet.

The Americans looked okay, the Canadians once they got going looked like we always hoped they could be, but sorry for being a buzzkill but the Russians just have so much scoring.

I don't care how flimsy their D might be, or how soft some of the goals Nabby lets in (that stinker today, gosh, you don't let them in at the Olympics), they look to me to be the team to beat.

Look forward to seeing the Swedes, Fins, the Czechs and Slovaks go tomorrow.
