I genuinely hope members of the membership department are being afforded the opportunity to cockpunch members of the playing group repeatedly.

Geezus, that's an appalling figure.
And that figure would include their Melbourne members, of which I'd reckon there would be at least 2-3k or more.
Just shows you how hard the Qld market will be to crack, which makes the AFL GC foray all the more puzzling.
Gold Coast and GWS are worth $400m in tv rights because they cause a 9th game a round.
Red card this clown.
North Melbourne is worth $400m in tv rights because our refusal to relocate caused a 9th game a round.
It has nothing to do with membership bases and everything to do with creating a product for television that had changed enough from the previous one to charge significantly more.

I am not sure that's entirely correct. If membership didn't matter, and it was all for TV dollar, then we may as well have Fitzroy and South Melbourne playing. It is clear that AFL wanted new markets and new people into the game. Whether that's reallistic up in Qld, I am not too sure.
Also, will TV networks be happy to pay for a 9th game (or 10th) if it's has a 155:45 score line?
Fair to say that the Bulldogs' atrocious "Western Front" campaign has failed. And the Saints' confusing "Line In The Sand / Be The Future" duelling slogans has also left a little to be desired. Or maybe StKilda people were just afraid to cross that line in the sand separating them from the perils of Port Philip Bay.
That said, St Kilda members do get a personalised fridge magnet fixture thing.
Ours lacks the member name.
