Say Clark is named round 1 and has an ok game without being great.

Is he the first one dropped when Duncan comes back in round 2-3?
It's slightly concerning. You'd think Constable, Bews, Evans and Zach Guthrie come out of the 26 to bring it down to 22.

So then if Duncan comes back in he's kicking out one of Kolodjasni/Jenkins/Atkins/O'Connor/Henry or Clark.

Any geelong boys want to comment on the Best 22 status of those blokes Gunf Shadow89

Zuthrie/Constable/Evans look the obvious omissions. Bews I think they rate?

Of the bottom group Atkins is nailed. Could be out of him Kolo and Henry

Agree completely on the first part that the man on the mark rule won’t change much. Disagree on the latter that fatigue could lead to more contests.
YOu may be right, i dunno. Can anyone confirm if inside midfielder scores went down when they reduced the interchange from 120 down to 90? I can't remember there being any huge difference. I just think it goes both ways. More tired players potentially means easier spread or less congestion but also means it may be more difficult to break from congestion once it gets congested.. i think the game is just the game and it won't transition from one type of footy to a completely different type based on a couple of rule changes - the coaches and players are too smart for the AFL.

Who's the Steele of this year? Ie. bloke just above 700k about to go to the next level. I put in Macrae yesterday but pondering getting him down to someone to give me another 150k to play with.

Im looking at Wines.. anyone else?

Brayshaw at Freo worth a shout to take another step forward this year? Has the role to do it. Would be a huge pod too?

Love the floor.. not sure of the ceiling. But yes, probably in a similar boat to Wines in that regard.

Fair assessment, his ceiling is 100% the reason he’s been in and out of my side as well. Currently have Cogs instead of him but would much prefer an up and comer rather than going back to the well with Cogs

I haven't seen Shaun Higgins in many teams. He should rack up huge numbers at Geelong and possibly get DPP early. If he does, he will be a top 6 forward by the end of the year.

You're confident on all 3 of those guys getting up regularly to kick off the season?

Not in the slightest.

Thanks for picking on the massive hole in an otherwise perfectly flawless plan! haha
But SURELY something appears for the defensive rooks in the next week and a bit.

I've got ~ $44k spare so I can upgrade Briggs to someone like Butts if he gets a gig. Then just role with the punches from there.

Currently running Campbell/Powell/Gulden as my mid rooks and Dow/Bergman as my forward rooks.
So if I need to I'd drop butters from up forward, swing Campbell back forward, and upgrade Briggs to someone of use in defense (Ridley/Short/Steward/daniels/docherty etc etc).

Under 700 but,
Berry, Bazlenka & Jack Higgins.
The last two had high jnr numbers (and Berry was injured)

I like Wines. If nothing else he'll deliver on his price surely until some uber premos have a dip in price?

I'd back wines in. Considering him myself

🚑 INJURY ALERT

Callum Mills (AF $705k SC $544k DEF) - concussion

SydneySwans Head of Phys & Med Damian Raper: "Unfortunately he showed delayed symptoms of concussion after the game so he's going to follow our concussion protocol early this week."

I've not had any of these players in my plans but its somewhat annoying. With every key fantasy injury, the variation in our round 1 teams reduces that much more :-/

Already had crossed him off after his awful Community Series display, but at least there won't be any fomo
