Yeah, yeah.

So it appears no gives that much of a shit that we've just qualified for the World Cup, but when you consider it took us 32 years to qualify for the last one, I say harden the **** up and get excited people.

So there was no penalty shootout, or "Aloisiiiii, he's done it", but so what?

We're there. Signed. Sealed. Delivered.

Like really, it's only the biggest sporting event on the planet (yes, it's smashes the Olympics).

Moving to the Asian Confederation was the deciding factor. :thumbsu:

Oh, and this > 20/20 Cricket World Cup (including when the Netherlands beat England)

Ended up watching the second half of this match. Snorting unsaid substances during the first half.

Rapt that we are through to the World Cup. The second side thus far to qualify for the World Cup just behind Japan.

Yeah Guitar are somewhat of a sub standard side and to get a nil all draw was a touch ordinary but that matters for squat now.

We are in the World Cup Baby.:thumbsu:

Yeah true, but now that we've got the results, let's hope for a more attacking style in the next three matches as the defensive mindset like last night and against Japan will not get us far next year.

Playing two up front would be a good start; having McDonald up there by himself does not work at all, he plays off a bigger bodied striker in Scotland which is why he has been scoring so many goals there.

Agreed. A McDonald/Kennedy combination up forward would be the go IMO. With Cahill, Kewell and Bresciano coming from the midfield we do have a bit of goal scoring potential.

I was so elated with the result, having watched it all live, that it prompted me to do a lap of the block at 4.40am swinging my shirt above my head high fiving tree branches over hanging the footpath!

YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

I then spoke to my bro and cousins, who were in the stadium watching it live, with the singing going on in the background and struggled to get to sleep till about 8am.......and that's without any powdery substances being ingested.

Cannot wait for WC 2010!!!!!

Must disagree there, McDonald is an absolute plodder. He scores goals in Scotland because it's, well... Scotland. I think the Kennedy sole striker role with Cahill and Kewell in front of him will work well, they just need some games together. Bresh can push forward too with Culina and Grella controlling the midfield.

And don't discard Dukes just yet either. Finished the season well at Newcastle and I'm quietly confident we haven't seen the last of him just yet.

I totally agree with that yotr. He's top shelf when fit, and as good as Kennedy has the potential to be, he's far from the heights of Dukes!

Kennedy needs to get himself to a better club. Karlsruhe are doing nothing for him. He needs to play more regularly. Very interesting few months for Dukes and where his future lies.
