I agree and our trepidation stems from the fact that blokes like Blumfield, Heffernan, Moorcroft look liked stars in our team but when traded they were found wanting.

If Prismall comes to Essendon I will welcome him, he brings something we currently do not have a lot of - good footskills

Hopefully a fair deal can be struck

Prismall is off contract, you won't get a better deal than that really. The deal I want is the one that involves Lovett as it is easier, Geelong get Lovett, we get Prismall and Geelong give us a 3rd rounder

I want him but not for pick23, we could get a really good player with that pick in this years draft. I do not want to lose pick23 really so if that means not getting Prismall then so be it.

Alternatively Prismall goes into the PSD and we or any other team with a PSD pick higher than us, pick him up for nothing.

Geelong are in no position to be making demands about what they get for Prismall, if Geelong want something for him they'll deal before tomorrows deadline... which I'm tipping they will for the best offer they've received.

When it comes down to it, there appears 2 be only to team genuinely in t he hunt for Prismall. Essendon and Melbourne. They are both offering 3rd round pick.....Meblurne will need to offer their 2nd round pick to get him which they will not do. Even though their 3rd round pick is higher than ours, he wants to come to Essendon.

In summary pick 39 for Prismall. WILL HAPPEN!!!!!

Pick 39 is probably useless for us. Let him walk, and carve it up in the Melbourne midfield :thumbsu:

Agree, always had a soft spot for Melbourne. We have no use for a pick that high... its pick 23 or he goes to Melbourne for free, i'd be shity if that happened but Prismall holds the cards in that respect - i just dont want to get done over by the Bombers.

lol, i'd back in any of the 16 coaches to have done the same thing - would have been the failure of the millennium not to get at least one flag out of our current list. I like Bomber though, great teacher - just don't rate his actual startegic coaching ability that highly.

You are overrating your list and underrating Bomber's influence. Your midfield, Scarlett and Stevie J can give you the sense that your whole list is great... it doesn't give me that sense. Lonergan, Hunt, Mackie, Blake, Stokes, Varcoe, Taylor, Mooney, Kelly and Harley, players that may be carried in other teams, play their part to great effect. It's the great roles they play more than the players being great themselves.

Most of the reason you have your current list is the coach, and Costa's faith in him when he was about to get sacked. It's his game plan, of quick use of the ball and rapid flow, that got you that premiership, and allowed you to break Sydney's piece of shit flood.

And you don't have the bargaining power to get much for Prismall. He's leaving anyway, so there's a fair chance you'll take our third rounder by tomorrow evening.

Melb,WCE, Freo, Port then Ess. We have pick 5 and I doubt an interstate club would pick him up after he has said his preferred clubs are Ess and Melb.

Freo may take Burns with their pick. :p

Firstly, Essendon has pick 5.

Secondly, Prismall has nominated Essendon as the club he wants to play for and the other interested parties will have to come up with a better deal fort him.

If Warnock is in the PSD and Prismall is forced to enter i would be surprised if he didn't end up at Essendon for nothing.

How would you feel then? :D

Melbourne have offered pick 35 for Prismall...which is their 3rd round pick. That is irrelavent thouhgt. He has plainly stated that he wants to play at Essendon......

you are underrating the importnace of him stating a specific club. Why did WC only deal with Carlton for Judd? Why is Freo only dealing with Carlton fro Warnock?.....its because they have stated that thats the club they want to play at. Geelong wont send him to melbourne , where he doesnt want to be just becuase the get offered a pick 4 picks higher in the 3rd round
