Evo should be right, had a corkie on the hip so they left him off......It's a pity you can only name 6 best each week because there were certainly more who could have got in the best and Feary is getting better each week...

I thought Nth Wang were better than what the scoreboard showed as well. Certainly a tough and physical side. Lucky Aker wasn't playing, he would taken his ball and gone home.:D

Talking to a bloke in the pub last night who was at Glenrowan/Whor and reckoned Whorouly are too top heavy in their forward line and lacked a bit of run and carry..JB??
Not sure about that Slim just a bad day at the office! We were shocking all over the ground. But 4 points in the bag.

Nonch you should do what the shepp news do they have a dream team with all the players from the league going in and out of the side based on there form and stuff etc would be a good idea you should have a look into it mate

:thumbsu: Nice article Nonch looks like your idea of us running those 2 pies per qtr around to you really worked....:thumbsu:

Dunno how you would have managed that slim - they were all out of pies by the time I got to the canteen at halftime! The chips were good though - not like the half-cooked ones you tend to get in Wang:thumbsu:

Well I think Blacks will beat Tarra and Whorouly should get over Greta, so the big question is whether Moyhu will continue its trend of beating up the pipsqueaks and then failing dismally against decent opposition:D

Dunno, Scott Thomson doesn't work here...

J.Wilson will be filthy that he has now lost his nickname! Look out whoever he lines up on this weekend.

I think benalla will give Tarra a touch up if the dogs play like they did agains Milawa.
Whorouly vs Greta should be a cracker of a contest, will be interesting to see if Marek comes in for the injured J Nixon, he kicked a lazy 11 in the ressies last week.

Rd 5

Milawa over Tatong 75 pts
Moyhu over Doon by 12 pts...JW won't regain his crown this week
Nth Wang aver G/bat 42pts
Bright over Swannie 50pts
Benalla over Tarra I don't care how much just so long as we do
Whorouly over Greta 20 pts
KV over G/rowan 12 pts

What position does he play? Full Forward?

Another pearler of a game at Tarra on Sat. A day for the small forwards with Salmon and Brush kicking 5 each for their respective teams...
Tarra dominated early in the middle with Bell feeding Franky and Chopper very well.....Dockery into the ruck started to negate Bells dominance in the middle and got our on ballers into the game.

Even though Brush kicked 5 I thought Chris Penny did a good job on him as did Benny Kunkle on Raz. Inaccuracy hurt us, we missed too many easy shots, especially in the 1st and 3rd qtrs.

There wasn't a lot of forward pressure early in the first slim tarra moved the ball out very quick when it come to ground.. Thought the move of jones to full forward was a good one took a few strong grabs when it was needed and convertered a few goals also.. Should of ran a tag on frankie and chop straight from the first bounce...

Yeah I don't think we anticipated Belly being so dominant early and they got an easy run for a while. Did notice Frankie went to Bully when he started to get into the game. Chopper was good all day I thought, especially in the first 1/2. Doodle went to him after 1/2 time I think and slowed him up a little.

any comment on the umps slim was told the free's went 24 to 6 tarras why in the second half

No real comment ATB, but yeah our stats said something similar but I'm sure that the umps could justify it.........But we can't have a game without them..
And yes I reckon they do have long memories...

The umpiring was a joke. Even the Tarra crowd were shaking their heads at some of those decisions. I just hope come finals time that deckhead doesn't umpire any games.

The free kick count was definitely lopsided, but I don't think it was 24-6...
As a neutral I will say Tarra got a few soft ones, but a lot of the calls just seemed like 50-50s - sometimes they go your way, sometimes they don't. For the most part it seemed like the player getting to the ball first was rewarded, hence Blacks seemed to get a few more in the last quarter.
Overall, they could have let it go a bit more often, but certainly not the worst umpiring I've seen.
