New rumours on the old boys mill...

Boon out for upto 6 weeks due to altitude sickness obtained from his 5 second hang time in what most are saying was a highly classed debut against Uni on the weekend. Racking up many posessions and paying a key role in the outcome of the game young boon most certainly put all you jelous knob heads to shame by proving it takes more than an under-educated mouth to put him off.
Hutchins seem to have recruited an AFL star in Quinten Lynch which should make their season very interesting to follow.

After a dismal season last year channel have proved to have made a major turn around. Although not quite getting up on the weekend it has been a major improvement on there average 150 point losses from last year. Perhaps a couple less bongs before the game and they could be a chance in winning a few..... or maybe old cappa is their only hope after all

Uni are still poo regardless of how much money is thrown into their players... turns out they are more gutless than first thought with great dependance on their pre-pubescent 12 year old water-boy to chirp during the game.

Few big games coming up this weekend so lets see these close matches continue. All the best to Boon on his recovery, maybe that $5 he saved against svc can go towards some panadol.

All the best lads

When you said Boon out for 6 weeks I thought "here we go, who has he belted now?". I read on to realise you were taking the piss.

His highly classed debut for Hutchins was a pre season game that saw him suspended for belting someone.

Oh well in that case boon has shown early signs of consistency in his newly found league. As to bring you upto date boon was not charged for the game down at huonville as it was a rubbish decision in the first place. Sooky little coaches that cant handle there players getting hurt intimidated the umpires after the game which lead to it being PROPOSED to the tribunal. Due to lack of truth and reliability it was decided that there was nothing in it and no sentence was distributed. Im sure you would agree with the decision if you were watching the match instead of reading about it.

Rain forecast for the weekend, should tighten the games up, any predictions from all you boon enthusiasts?

stv/uni
hutch/chan
oha/dosa

In my honest opinion, three drawers a distinct possibility.

stv/uni will be won in the mids and especially in the ruck with big scotty dickson vs S . Maguire. Maguire should be to good

Channel should be to good for hutchins because i like chanel more.

Dosa/oha - hope they dont charge $5 as they might struggle to get 5 ther any way - draw.

Maguire too good for Scotty Dickson you say????

Baker you're clearly a Rainbow's fan or in fact the man Samuel Maguire himself.

Dickson regularly started in the ruck for Hobart for a period of time i recollect, Maguire regularly started on the bus stop last season and when given the opportunity to show his wares often browned his underwear!!!

Sorry, Jack.. Didn't realise anyone else was allowed to have an opinion.. In two posts you have convinced me that you are a complete sack of shit..

Anyway.. Hope Uni are taking note of what has happened with Melbourne Storm..

sautner.. what exactually do you know about how much money Uni spend on players?? my guess is you know sweat F..k all and are just going off rumours.. every club in the OSFA is spending money on players, Uni no more then richmond or Channel.. Pull your head in a stop talking shit about things that you clearly have no idea about!

Fair dinkum footy followers, stop talking shit about players when you are clearly making it up, stop bagging clubs when you clearly have no idea whats going on, especially what they have rumoured to have paid. Try concentrating on the footy itself, game plans, structures, coaching and players who are playing well or not so well. Move forward.

Listen, all clubs pay money and good on them if they can recruit the right players. Who cares if they are 18 or 38 years of age and who cares if they have played AFL or not. 22 take the field each week and the most committed side who plays for each other, 9 times out of 10 wins.

Lets see if some of you who regularly write on this wall can actually write something which is interesting to read about football, not starting rumours and being piss weak writing behind an alias name.:thumbsu:

I'll have a crack
St Virgils big guys will be too big for Uni who have a shorter type side.
Rain may be a factor to help Uni though.
DOSA to beat OHA. Probably bias, but I haven't seen or heard much about the Ships this year yet. got lots of ex Clarence 2's players so should be stronger than last year, but the ***** have also picked up a lot of unknown good players.
Channel to beat Hutchins. Channel looked ok from first view of them and unless the Magenta army have anyone to stop the twin 150kg terrors, Joyce and Butters, they may be able to kick a bag between them. Although again I know little about Hutchins, and they must've played well last week.

Will be an interesting one. Watched the OHA v Richmond game last week, and OHA gave a pretty good account of themseves, even hitting the lead in the last quarter. They still have some quality experienced players about like McCallum, Probert, Bowering, Archer, Bannister, Stirling & Rogers. A pretty good core group. Will surprise a few sides I think.

Yeah good core group... Average age 73 years old

What is it they say about pots and kettles??

They say the pot is hot again in 2010!!! After kicking 9 against channel in an easy B.O.G performance it looked like no back-man could get in his way. Hot Hot Hot...Pot Pot Pot

looks like she is going to be a close season this year.. to all you punters that are just going off names, shows how little you know about football. 22 blokes out there on the day, gonna take more than 3 or 4 "big namers" to beat that! especially when half of the big namers you are talking about are snuff bags anyway

St virgils by 5 points over Universtiy
DOSA beat OHA by 50 &;
Hutchins by 25 over Channel

Some good games. It looks like being a close season. The Saints won a nail biter, which was good for them considering they were without their number one ruckman Rexy Dixion and three or four others.
Channel seem to not yet have enough luck to get four points. Be interesting to see how they match up with the "Bows" next game.
Hutchins and Dosa seem to be improving and probably surprising a few people.

I hope the close season keeps going so the top four isn't decided half way through the year like it was last season.

Some interesting results on the weekend.Dosa and Hutchins continue to suprise,Channel and Uni would be dissapointed with their start to the year,Saints look the goods,Oha imo will be there abouts and richmond they are always going to be close to the top rung.Looks like a fairly competitive season.

Games this week....

Channel vs Uni. I think Uni will probably "click" at the expense of an unlucky Channel and get up by 50 pts.

Ships and Saints. Always a tough encounter over at Geilston Bay but I reckon Saints are playing pretty good team footy and will get up by 20 odd.

Richmond vs Hutchins. Night games down there are very hard to win, and whilst Hutchins are playing better than most would have thought, The Blues by 30.

As this comp. has proven already this year I could be right off the mark!!!
