I prefer Richmond at this stage. If they manage to sign/get clearances for a few targetted Brighton players, they will be a more then capable side. My ladder prediciton at this stage (very early!!)

Richmond
OHA
DOSA
UNI
St Virgil's
Hutchins

Yeah I think your ladder will be around the mark the ships haven't lost much and gained a couple from what i hear, Richmond will be right up there again, heard today they signed Cato from Clarence ass coach dont know alot about him but have heard he can play any1 know????

Whats the latest out at dosa? I would have thought all of the talk of players leaving would have settled down now and maybe some1 can tell us who stayed and who left and who they have gained.

From what you hear around the traps Uni could be anything, still need to replace most of last years team to be up there though.

Dont know anything about the saints, much the same as last year from what i hear, and hope the beans might sit down towards the bottom.

And finally from what i have heard the Channel thing might get up anyone heard anything else, still know the ships and the saints are against it

I heard a Benny Ranger to Hutchins rumour over the weekend. Would be a very handy pick-up if true.

will get his head punched off in the old scholars, plays like an angry ant on red cordial, can play a bit but smaller grounds may test him not being able to out of the path of bigger slower onballers who know where to run:eek: mind you may improve his attack on the footy!

What is the point of the 'Old Scholars' league? Yes, it's nice that people can play a social game of football in Hobart without a whole lot of travel, but very few of the players are actually Old Scholars of the various schools. With the current state of football in Tasmania does there need to be more collaboration and cooperation with other leagues? Perhaps the powers that be in Tasmanian football have been using their collective weight to force decisions to be made as they see fit? I think the introduction of Richmond a few years ago and Channel this next season just goes further towards destroying the heritage of this league.

Brilliant news for the saints (can we have two teams called the 'saints' in the same league, even though they wear a completely different strip?). It will put some bounce back into the boys @ Snug Park. I am just disappointed I can't be part of it myself - I always enjoyed playing in the OSFA, and enjoyed being a prt of the Channel FC. I also hope they don't underestimate the OSFA, from my experience the standard of football is just as high as the Regional league (if not higher), just a touch slower (although I haven't played in the OSFA since 2003, and it seems to have improved since then).

Well done to the OSFA clubs, I truly believe they have done the right thing.

Can confirm Ben Beams as senior coach of Uni for the 2009 season. John Barwick will continue with the club as reserves coach following recovery from a serious knee operation.

Thats good work by UNI, is Ben Beams going to pull on the boots or is he just a coach ???

Geez Uni have chucked a shit load of coin out to a heap of players, i know for a fact that all the Nth Hobart players are on $150 a game which is alot of money. Makes me wonder how much Gilmore is on, must be a HEAP !!!

Now Now, remember Old Scholars clubs don't pay players

Heard yesterday Josh White and Josh Godden from Sorell to Richmond.

Would not surprisingly with Richmond be on good money as I believe White was on a decent dollar at Sorell.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF BRENDON (MANTIS) ROGERS HAS SIGHNED WITH UNI OR OHA YET HE WILL BE AT ONE OF THOSE CLUBS IN 09

WERE IS DOSA GOING TO FIND THERE GOALS FROM,IN 09

Heard a wisper that he had contacted the OHA coach to see when and where training was, but as they dont start til monday not to sure, the offer from UNI would be alot more than the ships could offer.
