CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF BRENDON (MANTIS) ROGERS HAS SIGHNED WITH UNI OR OHA YET HE WILL BE AT ONE OF THOSE CLUBS IN 09

WERE IS DOSA GOING TO FIND THERE GOALS FROM,IN 09

Well goals coming from Mantis maybe close to irrelevant due to the fact he played FB last season.. But the hole left from the departure of S. Allen is far more significant for the goalkicking.. The younger players from last seasons reserves will need to take a massive step up to the next level..

It's a wonder Uni have any money left.....
Is there a salary cap they have to keep under...

It will be interesting to see how they go next year. I can't see them being strong enough to compete with OHA, Richmond etc but I would say with the quality they have recruited (paid) they should make the finals.

Where has all this cash come from as it wasn't there years ago. I wonder how many will stay around in years to come when the money dries up!!

Where has all this cash come from?

Even Barge knows the answer to that one.

It has come from "The Pantry"!

And I don't know it will run out in a hurry!

Uni had 38 on the track last night and from all reports it was excellent training run under new coach Ben Beams... Interesting to hear that Gilmour has got a couple of the Claremont boys there training aswell. From all reports most sides have picked up well, so it should be a good competitive season in the Old Scholars. . . .

who has dosa picked up,very little ive been told,

Heard Yesterday Dosa have approached Chris (Swooper) Glen and Dave (Disco) Kameric for this season - both would be handy pick ups.

Swooper living with newly appointed Uni coach Bean Beams may make it hard for Dosa to get his signature.

Heard a whisper that Daniel Archer from CLARENCE may play in the old scholars this season, no club was mentioned but he would be a handy player in this comp if it is true.:thumbsu:

Very very good and an unassuming player is Archer. Very good hands. Would dominate I would think.

Gee why is there so much news coming from OSFA but virtually zip from SFL or Statewide.

Maybe Old Scholars is set to take over??

Maybe it should change its name to the Old Scholars Premier League and invite the better SFL clubs to join?

Shit this is stirring the pot Duff!!! Get off the juice!!!!!!!!

I was talking to a good source over the weekend, who revealed Mantis hasn't signed with anybody yet and had been talking to multiple clubs, including OHA, Uni, DOSA, Glenorchy and Brighton!! Hasn't made a decision yet.
Don't count your chickens Oldscholar!!!

You would think he has two choices, given that Richmond + OHA have a sprinkling of ex-clarence players each.
However if OHA has sgined Manits, surely they have no money/slots left to pay archer, and seeing as Richmond is rumoured to pay everybody, that he will end up at the Blues.

Archer is an ex St Virgil's college student so don't rule them out - word is he cant commit to training so he may not be after $$$ to play.
