thats just it footyguard,all im doing is stirring,i get on very well with mantis and have know problems with mantis going to oha,which i have spoke 2 acouple of times b4 he decided to leave dosa,as anyone from oha can ask him,i was as you said just stirring the pot.know more said,hope mantis gets what he went to oha to get.

as 4 the the other crap about my few posts or quotes in recent times,about best players over 10 or 15 years in oldscholars was a joke and some clues to certain posters on bigfooty,who i know -which was trying to work out what my title name was,

as for you flood ive one every award in this comp,more than most can say i dont need to pump my own tyres up,i let my footy do the talking not my mouth.
 
Matthew Honey...ha ha ha what a joke...Spoke to a few people at Brighton when he played a couple of games there a few years back. Hardly kicked a goal or took an over head mark the whole time he was there. No good against quality backman at a higher level.... what a joke that these sort of players get pumped up ha ha

Who is this Mathew Honey, has he played Statewide previously with anyone or SFL, just curious as he gets spoken about a fair bit here and I am from the North West and am not familiar with him ?

I don't know that there would be much between the two sides, most of the players would know/know of their opponents and there would be considerable intent on each side not to lose to the other comp!

Dont kid yourself guys...theres a fair gap between Old scholars and Regional league.... and what happened to it supposedly being an "amateur" comp ... seems to be a lot of cash floating around.
 
Does OLDSCHOLAR still play on everytime he gets the ball in front of goal:eek: I seem to remember a joke going around the league that the backs tried to get him to lead straight down the ground cos if he outmarked them and couldn't play on he was a guaranteed miss even if in the goal square:thumbsu: On the boundry line and he was a dead set cert to kick a sausage!! speaking of which how is your bro OLDSCHOLAR? now that bloke could seriously play, mind you OLDSCHOLAR is a bit of a legend, even he has to admit that:D

good thing he didn't play against Brighton, would have chalked up a tonne in the 1st quarter:)

You mean there is a fair gap between Old Scholars and New Norfolk. But then there is a fair gap between New Norfolk and the SFL. The side they have now would have gone very close to another premier league flag.
I think the OHA's / Richmonds / Uni's would undeniably by finalists in the SFL.

Yeah i agree with u on that one monna... New Norfolks list is amazing this year.. No one will get anywhere near them i reckon. Would be interesting to see how the top 3 sides in Oha rich and uni went against the stronger sfl sides... Thoughts??

Imagine the lovechild of Chris Page and Nigel White, add the jawline of Roger Ramjet and give him Errol Bourn's hairstyle (from the 80s). Now add two big kneebraces, and you've got Matt Honey.

As for his ability - pretty sure he played SFL... not sure who with. Is a bit of a loose unit, but still seems to be a very handy key position despite his age, fitness, turning circle, etc.

Dont take this as fact but im sure he has played with Clarence(underage?),Glenorchy,Hobart,Brighton and a side in the ACT tunger something cant recall the name And his bro has played with South Launnie,Clarence,Nth Hobart,Brighton and the same ACT side .

My tips for this week

Oha Vs Richmond The ships by 20
Im sure richmond will be ready to have a real crack after last years granny but imo although ships still not back to full strenght they will have a little too much for richmond.

Uni Vs Hutchins Uni by 30

Still alot of unknowns here but the way uni put the saints away last week would have to go in as favourites. cant wait to see the outcome of this one.

Channel Vs Dosa Dosa by 40

same as above, not sure of how bad channel were last week compared to how good the beans are going to be. Seen Dosa first hand and didn't have a lot but with a few coming back maybe could have the edge.

Looking forward to every1 playing each other to see where they all stand.. think its going to be an intersting year
 
Watched Uni vs Hutchins today a good standard game. Hutchins had the drop on them early they lead by 25 points quater time then Uni went off in the second Quater kicked 8-9 with Gilmore at FF. Harris,Doran and Mcgregor didnt play for Hutchins which would have made it interesting but Uni will be there abouts in September.

rich oha uni would beat most sides but would find it hard against norfolk lindisfarne dodges ferry hounvilee and kingbrough
 
DOSA beat Channel by 23 points in probably the worst game I have ever watched live..

DOSA reserves got up by 180 odd.

Channel should have some questions asked of them after some of their actions yesterday as well
