The DOSA boys seem to have lifted of late but watching the SHIPS the last few weeks they look to be getting back to full strength again and playing like they were earlier in the year. Although they still have a couple out have a few good forwards back after a long absence, chilcott locked good yesterday 2nd game back after 2 months off. Anyway the ships look the goods for me but will be good to see how the improving DOSA boys go this week against the ships this week.[/quote
Chilcott who.......................................Dosa all the way, i have been watching them for the last 4 weeks, and they are building up!

He would be talking about Andrew Chilcott. An ageing bald bloke that can play a bit, when his legs decide to work properly, which is not very often. No, Chilly is an absolute gun when fit, it is just unfortunate that it doesn't happen very often. On his day, was one of the best forwards in the regional league.

That wouldn't happen to be a draw against the top placed St. Virgils side that was torn a new one by a hapless DOSA last week?
I believe he is talking about the very same "top" St Virgils side ;)

In all seriousness, that week that St Virgils lost to DOSA in the 2's the senior side had quite a few players out..

Oh I didn't realise this.. I only know what I read in the paper.. Is it still going to be classed as choking if DOSA are knocked out first round?

Probably not considering no-one expects them to win anyway..

Dwyer is just chopping away in the 2's at the moment and is playing quite well too.. It seems the mix in the backline is as good as it has been all year..

Oh and the tattoed bloke you mention would be none other than Scott Beattie..

Beattie being playing well the last few weeks, hitting some good form for the Roosters:D!
As for Dwyer obviously the 2's are short to be playing an unfit guy like this ahead of others? Have heard on the grapevine Dwyer still doing the same things at DOSA like Not Doing the hard work required:thumbsdown:

I remember Dwyer from a couple of seasons past and thought although slow could be a great player for them, gets ball to foot quickly and smart, alas I was wrong and he suffered from the DOSA onballers curse (that all bar DOSA people know about), being fat and lazy:eek:

It does shock me however that Simon Harris would select a guy that is unfit over a young fella, then again Simon is still playing and he only has 1 leg;)

Seriously though I am going to make a bold prediction that DOSA may in fact get to the preliminary final this season, they seem to be better drilled and flexible than the 1/2 way mark of the season but dare I say it, mids, you need to work both ways and make sure your opponents don't slip away. Its up to you guys now! Justin O'brien in paper today, he would have been handy onball rotating forward, hard nut but gets in the right places. Pity the Farne had the $$$!

Good luck for finals Roosters, as long as Hutchins don't make it I'm a happy person!

Thankyou for letting me no on the health and well being of Dwyer, i was just wandering where he was, not how he is. Yes he might be fat and lazy, but if my vision is correct, i'm pretty sure i have seen his name in the paper the last two weeks................
Also i believe that Todd Curtain is the coach of the 2's up there not Simon Harriss.
And as for finals, its going to be close to call for both 1's and 2's of all teams in the top four.

Thats right Toddy Curtain is the coach of the 2's..
And on Simon Harris, for someone who is only on 1 leg, he is still playing pretty well..

Very true H.B.K, and yes I agree Simon is playing extremely well, always has been a good footballer, back in the day i used to dread playing against him!!!!!
H.B.K, that wouldn, t be referring to the Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels would it?..............

Rumour Has It Big Mat Honey Is Hanging The Boots Up,any Truth Anyone On This,be Very Missed If So

Would be suprised if he didnt go around again . when talking to him he sounds pretty keen on becoming a life member of the club .
I think his body has held up well this year and is playing good footy.any way he could spend a couple of years playing in the square for the twos if he wanted to . Matty has had his knockers over the years but he is a good bloke and a great player for the Roosters. (poor poker player though):)

And the bloke deserves to be a life member a great player. The rosters played ok today but still the ships had a few out and IMO and no doubt you will all say i am wrong the ships will shit it in later in the the year when it counts, DOSA dont play well when it counts we all know that.

And as far as thr DOSA 2's being the big thing reading all the posts latley that didn;t happen today??????????????????????

Yep having a bit both ways and being an old scholar i still tghink the ships are hard to beat, the 2's could go any way and watching today the saints could be out of it all together. i said IMO the ships still but who knows a great comp and it could go anyway.

The ships for me again but i could be wrong go the OSFA

It sure would be in reference to The Showstopper himself..

I will have to agree with Moogrot as well re: Matt Honey, I'm pretty confident he'll go around again next year from when I've spoken to him. But whether it will be 1's or 2's is still unknown..

Funny thing you say that DOSA don't win when it counts yet OHA have won, what 1 premiership..

The DOSA 2's team played very average yesterday and IMO were probably 4 or 5 goals worse than OHA all day, but were good enough to come away with the draw, but OHA still sang their song :p

If you saw the scoreboard before both teams walked off the ground I think you'd know why OHA belted out their tune.. I managed to see the game and the way you boys played you were VERY lucky to come off with the draw.. If you play like that come finals time you won't last too long..

four and a half goals down at 3/4 time they must have played ok to get back into the game .

OHA 2's actually finished ahead according to the timekeepers. The 2 very young ladies goal umpiring stuffed up, but doesn't matter. I'd think you would find if there had been anything riding on it, OHA would have appealed to the OSFA to have the result corrected.

DOSA had a very good last quarter, were far more desperate than the Ships which was a little disappointing. Brendan Rogers did a superb job on Bowering.
