If he was really offered $700k per year by GC and knocked it back that's fair dinkum unbelievable. He's a gigantic risk to any new club.
He must have something lined up at one of Ess, Haw or StK.

It's obviously not Essendon that the GC think he's going to, or else they wouldn't make the threat of how he could end up there through the PSD.
They're just being used for trade leverage.
Plus, they're an etihad club.

Worth a pick around 10. Anything more than that is overs, given his injury history. The guy hasn't played in 2 years FFS. Still think he commands a first rounder on upside but if he's failing medicals...
That said, would be stoked to land him at the Pies, even though we have quite a few mids. Would really complete our young midfield, although I doubt we'd have the currency to get him across.

He knocked back 700k at the GC? Wow. I don't know how any club could hope to sign him and not alienate a number of their own players. And then imagine he does have a re-occurance of the knee injury and you're paying him 700k+ to watch from the stands while trying to find cap space to not lose other young up and coming players.

Reckon he's more likely to end up at Collingwood. They have more trade value player wise on their list and are in a better position to take a risk.
If he can't pass a medical after 2 years, nobody is going to offer anything other than massive unders. GC have painted themselves into a corner with their statement so if he's going anywhere, it'll be the PSD.
Nobody is getting him for a second rounder which is the best offer GC will get.
My counsin's third cousins friend knows the toy bunny of a pet dog who knows the aunty of JOM's fingernail and has confirmed that JOM is definitely going to either Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong, Hawthorn, St Kilda, Norf or the Western Bulldogs.

Don't know if this has been superseded by more recent updates, but Essendon would be the worst possible scenario from a Gold Coast perspective, given they would potentially be able to grab him with the first pick of the PSD with GCS walking away empty-handed, right? Don't like seeing clubs get screwed.

O'mera is still on very good terms with most of the players and Coaching staff. He is attending the B & F and was having a ball at mad Monday with his ex team mates. I doubt he will want to see his mates get shafted because of comments made by a Chest beating tool President. And if his manager is pushing towards a club that plays on concrete covered grass with his knees he's an idiot.
