Yeah he has had a lot of family issues. Jeans knew a lot of it and treated him like a son. Its a great story.

There are many really good Open Mike eps.

Capper and Kekovich are the two best ones imo. There are some others than aren't bad but those two are great characters.

Can't remember if it was Open Mike or something else, but he invited the interviewer over to watch his highlights, "we can make a weekend of it."

The best ones are with the oldest blokes, as they have no need to protect themselves and have a better sense of perspectives.

IMO Malcolm Blight and Graham Cornes were the best.

Still laugh each time I think about an interview he did years ago with Before The Game. The panel and Capper were all talking about his highlights and personal life and The Whiz trots out a line along the lines of 'Any way, thats enough talking about me. Let's talk about you guys. So what do you think about me' in true Capper style.

Paul Salmon too. Sheedy took years to apologise for they way he treated him, but most likely forced to apologise in order to get him to come back.

I remembered the game where Salmon was in the goal square and refusing to lead and getting boo'd constantly then got dragged. Finding out 25 years later that it was Sheedy being an alpha campaigner was surprising and also not surprising.

Dermie has a side that not all supporters know about. Some personal tragedy there. Great footballer but always had the white line fever.

That Jackson episode was something else. Bizarre individual that could play.
