Although I think Melbourne will probably be top 4 for the next few years, I don't think they'll make it this year.
The Hawthorn game is 50/50 for them. I'd be surprised if they beat WC in a final over there even if they did get through.

I used to love Joel Selwood. I can't stand him now. You've summed him up perfectly imo. Petulant, entitled. Cracks the sads every time he gets more than a passing glance from oppo. Still ducks and dives head first into tackles and is one of only about 3 left in the league that continue to do so and actually get rewarded.

I used to love Joel Selwood. I can't stand him now. You've summed him up perfectly imo. Petulant, entitled. Cracks the sads every time he gets more than a passing glance from oppo. Still ducks and dives head first into tackles and is one of only about 3 left in the league that continue to do so and actually get rewarded.

I used to really admire him as a player. Tough, courageous, skillful. The entitled, petulant child we see now started when they made him captain. It got steadily worse until last year's QF. Since then it's gone into overdrive. Or perhaps meltdown is more appropriate.

Add selling the farm to bring in the most selfish player in the league, and you've got the recipe for disaster. The only people who can't see it are themselves. Even many of their supporters have been seeing this coming for some time.

Not all of them though. One arsehat on SEN yesterday was seriously talking them up as the team to beat us.

Im not talking the way they've celebrated over the game last night , im talking from past experiences sitting in the MCC when we have played them to the point they are so bad i would never watch a match there again whilst playing them.
