AFLW 2024 - Round 6 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Stephenson placed three same game multi-bets in three separate matches this season in which he played. The bet stakes totalled $36.
The matches in question were against the Western Bulldogs in round four, Essendon in round six and St Kilda in round nine.
The multi-bets included legs on:
- Collingwood to win,
- Collingwood winning margin,
- Stephenson to kick a goal,
- Stephenson to kick three or more goals,
- Collingwood teammates to kick a goal,
- Collingwood teammates to kick two or more goals, and
- Collingwood teammates to have in excess of a number of disposals.
On two occasions Stephenson gave cash to a friend to place the bets for him, on one occasion he used the friend's betting account. All bets were unsuccessful.
There is a funny side to this. Dumb campaigner bet on himself. Twice. And lost.
Is "self reported" just code for "the story is going break anyway, let's get ahead of it and push for a lighter sanction"?
Actually more than that sier got fined for it the other year and another player while he was at the lionsTwo gambling issues now at Collingwood.
Rancid carcass of a club.
Tommy "Gun" Browne was probably going through his rubbish bin and found the betting slips shifty campaigner
Stephenson got of lightly for match fixing. He gets to play finals so 10 weeks is only a slap on the wrist. 2 years minimum should have been the penalty.
Also got De Goey getting injured 'playing with his dog' and I think there was another incident like that.Actually more than that sier got fined for it the other year and another player while he was at the lions
In the last 5 years 3 drug suspensions and two guys betting on afl **** club
This is sickening, a bona fide a** kisser kissing the proverbial a** hole at a game of AFL footy... Rest assured Order of Australia recipient Peggy O'Niell wouldn't resort to such behavior. Proper class act is our Peggy.
As someone posted previously, the cops would get involved just like Martin's chopstick incidentWhat would a richmond player get for this same offence? Life ban? Deportation?
If it was Dusty he would have copped two years and the AFL would have got the police involved.
and they would have forced Dimma to stand down as coach because he let it happen on his watch

Howe dobbed him in lol
