I’m no North fan, but the Clarko thing just isn’t fair on them. They’ve been talking to him for months and are basically prepared to step aside and let him do what needs to be done and then the bloody druggies come along. If he goes there I hope it fails on him spectacularly.

I dont feel sorry for North, no one gave a shit about us when we struggled year after year, just the butt of all jokes. However, I do have a list of most hated to least hated and Essendon trumps North atm.

Meh I just feel sorry for them now. It’s actually just beyond a joke now. They’re not a poor club, they can afford to pay for players/coaches, granted they don’t have 100,000 members, but that’s not really a big deal, and the supporters they do have that turn up to games are just as passionate, if not more so than most clubs. It’s just ridiculous now.

Carlton because I've hated them for 40 years, their supporters, their club. Just pure dislike.
Geelong because they are full of themselves, for a team that had gone for so long without a premiership success to being one of the most entitled in the league, they have forgotten where they have come from. w***er club.
Brisbane- never used to hate this mob but Fagan sooking and carrying on is too much. Cant wait for the day he moves on as coach.

Whoever lands Clarko will find out he's overrated anyway. Game a lot different now than 10 years ago. Also last time he tried a rebuild was a disaster

I would say there is no way that it was only yesterday that Drugs started reaching out to Clarkson - I suspect there have been previous 'informal' indications to him via his manager that something might be possible at Tullamarine and so the Nth Melbourne thing has been deliberately managed to drag on by Clarkson's team so as to keep that option open.

Make no mistake, if Nth miss out and he goes to The Hanger it is 100% on Clarkson and he has been leading Nth along just to keep that option open...

Pretty crap act in my opinion and I would genuinely feel for North and their fans.

You guys forget the 2 knee injuries to 2 other players he caused by sliding along the ground knees first into their legs. He did a lot of things that got him disliked. He's now treated like he was a saint. He got older, slower and started using tactics that should of been beneath him.

No i dont forget the knees first into other players bodies nor the odd flying elbow to other players heads.
This dirty staging Goodes not the young brilliant player is the one i will remember.

Would lose any respect for Clarkson if he went to Tullamarine after the way they have treated Rutten this week.

Trying, very publicly, to hire a new coach while you’ve still got one is pretty poor. Clarkson should have no respect for that.

I disagree. You need to remember that rebuild is harshly marked because of a number of factors.

Firstly being from 2007 to 2018 they were playing off in finales most years & therefore didn't land them any high end draft picks. Also they traded off a bit to stay up and win more flags. Secondly he had a terrible relationship with that tosser Jeff Kennet who would of been insufferable for someone like Clarko who prefers to control most things himself.

I think Clarko is a lifetime coach and certainly a generational one at that. He has a great brain for footy and continues to develop himself which I feel will help with a new game plan for this modern era.

Can't blame any team atm jumping on the chance the snatch him up.
