I'd be fine with it.

My mates in the mines don't get a 3 warning strike for having some pot on their system. Or my friends in the airforce.

They all earn less. They all get less perks ie girls from their job too. Being an AFL player is a ****ing sweet life for a 20-30 year old. If you can't keep yourself off the drugs to keep the job then you don't deserve to keep the job.

FFS have we already forgotten the disaster of the Eagles ? Cousins, Mainwaring, Kerr, Gardener. How is making a system that enables use VS a blanket system that holds players accountable for their ow decisions a better result? Its an outlawed substance - why the **** should AFL players get protection over breaking the law VS a normal person. If i turned up to work coked out is that something i should be protected for - or something i deeply regret?

The AFL should be reporting them to the police, not hiding it from ASADA.

This is why i don't believe the touched in the Carlton game was corrupt.

The umpires are just utterly crap. This is a FAR FAR FAR easier call to make correctly than the touched call. How many times a game, let alone a ROUND do we see the wrong call made? disgraceful

I disagree, he is no different to how you or I comment on games and speaks his mind. He gets a lot of trolls, I love that he tells it how it is. Same with Grant Thomas IMO.

Beside their 5 year dynasty period 2007-11 when they were clearly the best team in the competition, in a large part due to great fortune with father-sons, Ablett x 2, Hawkins and Scarlett...they have won one premiership in the other 55 years since 1963. They had 29 finals campaigns in those 55 seasons that amounted to nothing. And one single one that yielded a flag.

They are an illusion. Worry not.

Always get a leg up from playing at their cheat ground. Largest home ground advantage in the comp. Inflates their position. They can be a middle of the table team and with two extra wins from this be in the eight. Or put them in the top four when realistically they are bottom half of the eight. It's why they fail so hard in finals.

Edit - and why they are always bitching about playing finals at catshit park.

Looks like Lever turns his head to check where Daniher is first then stops in his way. This is exactly what the rule was intended for even if it's a shit rule. If Lever didn't look at Daniher first and faked going for the mark he would have been fine. But yeah, Daniher went down pretty easy.

It's a joke you can't even have a contest now, the players today are way softer Richo would just jump high and take a mark split the pack.

Did you see Daniher put the ball into May's arm & let go of it? really can't stand this guy he literally pushed it into May and let go of it May was shocked when they paid 50 against him.

I didn't watch the game, only this clip coz it was posted. But generally the game has become about playing for the umpires as much as anything. The umps have become so trigger happy that it makes it worthwhile, if umps just let stuff go more there wouldn't be as much playing for the umps eye - eg. taking a dive when tackled to get in the back, tossing your head back when tackled to induce a high free kick, ducking into the tackle. Winning a free kick is way more advantageous than simply winning the contest because of stand. It's another example of an unintended consequences that the AFL didn't think of when they changed the rule - increased incentive to play for frees. As for the 50m rule, well that's even better, 50m of territory and retain possession in a free kick scenario. The balance between umpire impact on the game and player impact on the game is out of whack.
