Yep, another quality appointment from the AFL Boys Club. Nothing to see here. Gill last seen shopping at Furchari Rugs and Brooms are Us.
What a legacy Gil is leaving on.

This helps explain why Dusty is the best player I've ever seen. Best big game player by far. Even including Ablett Snr who was an incredible and spectacular footballer. And he's a better all round footballer than Buddy who is probably the best big forward of his generation. Lockett and Dunstall were amazing but one dimensional.

But I have never seen anyone perform better in big games than Dustin Martin and that's my criteria for the best. I saw Kevin Bartlett play in finals when I was a kid and he was playing a different game at a higher level than anyone else but by that time he was almost exclusively a forward. Dusty dominates in the middle and forward and his field kicking is probably the best I've seen also. Low, hard and flat and pinpoint accuracy. As your stats show, he makes other players around him better. Let's hope he has a good season and we will be right there at the end.
I grew up with Royce Hart as my hero. He was the gun our club could rely on for big game performances. His 3 goals in the 2nd quarter of the 1974 GF to wrench the game back our way after North kicked 5 straight to break out to a 2 goal lead were crucial.

But I have to agree, Dusty has surpassed him. Royce had better players around him. Dusty's performances in all finals, in particular GF's, puts him in a league of his own. I suspect he still has some unfinished business after last year.

in fairness, his overseeing of the covid years was 2 b applauded.
Why? NRL started earlier and he followed, so no he doesn’t need applause, if he led then maybe

If The Richmond of 2016 continued through to 2020 does anymore here believe we would have 6-6-6, kick in rule, stand rule, ruck can grab the ball and not be pinged HTB rule ( aka the Grigg rule ) etc
no chance

So when Dimma in our end of season speech mentions our track record against these clowns in finals, they get all salty and insulted, yet when their coach does it?

what they and other clubs dont have is rule changes in geelol's favour made by an ex geelol bloke who ran back to his club to be ceo the following year

The double standards coming out of Geelong and their fans is outstanding.

Some of their supporters on here for years have had a go at us for our 2 weaker premierships against non Vic teams yet when they beat Sydney they are greatest team ever. Now when their coach basically says the same thing ours did last year, its well he is right their track record against us is poor when it matters.

Regional club supporters always have inferiority complex and have some stupid belief the more they talk the bigger their penis becomes
They also know they are about to hit a wall and most will stop posting

Talking of regions, I went out yesterday to Tullamarine so my son could have surf lesson at that world renowned surf beach at Tullamarine (got say an excellent facility, my son who is autistic had a cracker of a time and managed to get on his feet a couple of times ,bravo !!).

Anyhow , it was right next to the Druggies new facility and I've got to say it is the most uninspiring sporting facility for a professional club you could ever hope to see. The facility for East Sunbury Thunder has more appeal. The drug cheats have got to move back to Windy Hill if they ever hope to have a club with a soul again. The new place is just terrible, devoid of everything except wind and little plastic bags... It's going to be the biggest whole elephant since they built that baseball place out at Altona. I could imagine a first year draftee arriving there and thinking WTF have I done ???

And what a pain in the backside to get to !

Some of their supporters are the nastiest on all of BigFooty.

Speaking of double standards, when Richmond signed Lynch, Robbo and Whately complained bitterly about it and said it shouldn’t be allowed. When Geelong got Cameron and then pick 7 or whatever it was last year it was bloody crickets. Not a word. Annoys the hell out of me.
