would be a great gig for him. even just making finals would look good, shitload of money, live on the gold coast with his new bird, most people forget that club exists so won't be as crazy pressure as coaching a big club, reunite with his best mate chol, get free handouts from the AFL

he would go as an afl ambassador, gil pay $900k of his wage, some of their sponsors pay for a bunch of his off-field stuff, dusty left as only $200k on the salary cap

There are some serious players in the pipeline who are QLD born and bred. Top end talent.

The QLD teams have everything to lose and an AFL Hardwick appointment would be almost the last piece in the puzzle.
