I know highlights can be misleading but wow this kid has some goal sense.
We are going to be entertained in the yrs to come if we can get him right definitely a risk worth taking in my opinion.
I have said it before, but if you have time to waste, jump on the afl app and look at the extended highlights for each game under the stats section. It has every involvement in every game. Start with his 2017 games. If we can get him back to that form/fitness it will be a massive win.

Never knew you could to that unfortunately I don't have a live pass☹️

He made the occasion bad decision, but his skills were fine. Was a reliable shot at goal.

The knocks on Ebo have always been a bit overstated IMO. I think he's a better kick than Boak.

We will genuinely miss his hardness around the contest. Fantasia has a lot of work to do to get anywhere near him in regards to overall output and contribution to the team.
Should the comparison really be between say Ebo and Mitch G being groomed for that role, Just a thought?

It’s hard to break such news gently to Essendon supporters but Orazio Fantasia’s pre-season at Port Adelaide has been superb.

I like the bit about him still being very good friends with Zach Merrett. Good enough friends to get in his ear with Merrett's free agency coming up?

I still haven't warmed up to this guy playing for us. 3 goals in round 1 might do it

I have. Forget the player he was in his last couple of years at Essendon. He was unhappy in his workplace and he let it affect his football. He's human, it happens.

Injury permitting I'm expecting us to get a lot more of the good Fantasia than the bad.

I have felt a bit the same.

But as the season gets closer I am having visions if him crumbling our many long bombs into F50 and converting them into goals and finally fixing our conversion issues.

I know I'm probably setting myself up for disappointment but I can help myself.

I wasn't concerned at all about his attitude, only his injury history.

Those concerns wont be alleviated by a news article, only a solid string of games can do that.

Same with Burton really. Until he strings a few games together I won’t be convinced that we’ve seen the last of his injury woes.

The two things are connected, especially in his case. He mentioned that he lost direction there, wasnt happy, wasnt sleeping well, and how all of this then began to affect his training & preseason effort. This then contributed to injury issues.

So far the signs look good, with a flawless preseason, coming off the back of a much improved, happier disposition & attitude.

I am really optimistic that we will get the best out of Fantasia.

The Essendon playing group certainly seem to hate each other and/or the coach. Sounds like the hub last year was their equivalent of the crows preseason camp - possibly without the latent homosexuality.

Seeing Orazio happy and hopefully winning is going to be a massive selling point.

This.

Like all our players, we want them to succeed and become stars and I hope OF does just that. So all the pumping up is fine, but geez he's got a long way till he's proved his value. He's gotta stay on the park and play 20 games minimum.

Let's hope we can get all of OF, Burton and Mead through their persistent injuries.
