Bro it was a irrelevant pick in an unprecedently shit draft for a lot of reasons.

In absolutely no way is it comparable to giving up a first rounder for Nathan Lonie.

People gotta chillax, the worst this should rate is a "well i didn't want him but whatever"
 
What a cluster****

we traded a 2nd and 3rd rounder for a guy who had walked out of his club.

Very alarming that now only have 1st and 2 4th rounders in a strong draft with a f/s to pay for.

next year it’s likely we get pinned into only taking 1 player again like this year. We need to keep building and not fall into this trap of thinking we’re close.

also lol at people thinking we’re going to have clubs giving us good draft picks for our depth

since when has that ever happened?

what will we get for Farrell Garner hayes and bonner (our out of contract in 2021 players)?

2 packets of chips...... and we will have to give a snickers back in return

Fair enough, I hope you are right. I would be melting if we finished up with Fantasia and missed on Jones.

If we come out of the Trade and Draft with Aliir, Fantasia, Jones and Schofield we will have done well considering our high finish and future trades.

You gotta look at it on balance though we probably got Aliir for slight unders but he has elite potential, plus we are getting a first rounder in LJ.

Orazio could be a bust but he might surprise I'm ok with it everything is a gamble.

We payed a gamble price for a gamble of a player, don't really see the fuss. We didn't re-mortgage the ****ing house.

guys, it's like a third rounder. We didn't just trade out a first round pick lol.

We're also going to get the players we are targeting this year so what's the problem? Who would we have picked up at pick 35 odd once the deals were done?

I didn't want it as much as the next guy but honestly with list sizes etc and the fact our picks are mostly FS/NGA in a heavily compromised draft + COVID uncertainty as so many players didn't even play this year - i think dropping a pick in the 30s this year is absolutely no big deal.

I don't see much wrong with the trade. Possibly slightly overs but if the rumour about mismanagement of his injuries and his happiness is true this could turn out really well.

I see this being a better investment than getting Motlop for free. He doesn't need motivation to not be lazy.

can Also explain to people that there wasn’t only two options, match bid or trade for orazio.

we could have traded that pick for future picks.

it’s also worth noting that if players like luko or rankine ask for trades in 2021 we could have serious trouble coming up with a trade.
