The only way this deal makes sense is Port are confident the Jones bid will slide to AFTER Essendon's picks (ie: pick 11 or later?). We must have "bought goodwill" from Essendon.

Otherwise we have now left ourselves quite exposed to a draft deficit this year and could be very thin re draft capital for 2021.

Very risky trade in every sense. I reckon recruiters must have been drunk from celebrating the Aliir deal. God help Fantasia if he doesn't perform!
