That pi55sed me off... Did the hard yards, carried the club on his back for years just for goodwin to pick his favorites over him. Similar to tarkyn/leon (replay)/ medhurst for us in 2010. Call me old school but veterans who do the hard yards in the rebuilding years should be rewarded with a premiership, not the youngens.

He's just an 'ex' Pie player to me who betrayed us all by going to the enemy 🤣
Nah, his ankle was f**ked by the time he went there, and he went because MM went there.
The two of them screwed the scum over beautifully.
He's still a Pie at heart.

Didn't Thomas choose to go surfing instead of having ankle surgery? It was either that or he didn't rehab and chose to go surfing. Does anyone else remember that.

Just move them to WA

Stop being Looked after by the AFL
Seems like a win win
WA clubs have to travel one game less, north reduce their tassie games and put them in WA where they have a good record up there compared to tassie, and pocket some cash. It helps the WA economy too.

Peter McKenna? :(

You can have favourites from different eras - and you can have more than one.
Peter McKenna was a big fave when I was a kid.
Other faves - Swanny, Micky, Rowdy, Jimmy Clement, Taz, Pendles, Nick, etc.

Home games nowadays hold no advantage.
Collingwood a case in point.
Pies win more often than not interstate.
North need the bucks. Good on them.

If we do this to QLD or wherever so help to god there will be a riot. Fans are what makes collingwood so big, giving them less chances to see the team play to make a buck is morally wrong

The powers that be of the afl have a strange way of thinking.

We should be seeking compensation from the afl for having to play home games at Docklands.

Now the Afl wants compensation from us, if we move a home game to the gold Coast. The afl should be so f'n lucky that we are willing to promote the game in qld.

It is an interesting one. On one hand, the AFL gets huge crowds from Pies supporters (home or away) when playing at the G so a move to a ground with significantly limited capacity will hurt revenue. On the other hand, they should provide access to live games for supporters in other states.

Settle, there won’t be riots

Vic based supporters will still have the same number of MCG games (and MCG home games) they can attend because a Queensland game would be taken from one of our home Marvel games. And they’ll be able to attend more games than the home supporters of most other clubs.

Collingwood is a national brand so it’ll be a packed stadium of locals supporting Collingwood wherever we play. All the more so in Queensland where we have a decent following.

And if Collingwood do go ahead with this, they’ll be smart about it and do it on their own terms, just like they’ve done with Swans games. ie: before the AFL impose it on them as a result of the competitive review.

What “do it on their own terms” looks like is scheduling it in school holidays in the height of winter to make it accessible and appealing to Vic based supporters to fly up and attend.

A few years ago, Caro used the phrase that Frankston was 'Moe by the Sea'. Having lived in Frangers for a few years in my younger teaching days, I believe she was spot on.
Caro hangs out further down the bay in summer

Sometime ago Trevor Marmalade commented that Moe stands for "moccasins on everyone"

I can't see this working. At all.

Guy leaves club with completely broken relationships.
Then 2 years later comes back to work not only with the people he has a beef with, but take over the part of Melb that has THE 2 most disgruntled players in the AFL, who he used to play with.
With no genuine coaching experience.

it would be akin to us brining Trelor back to coach mids under Buckley.
...but with both Pendles & JDG trying to leave the club because they are disaffected with club.

...how isn't this going to end badly?

Totally agree.... Except its even worse for jones, 300 game player, and lead them through probably the darkest period in their history, the geelong blowout, mark neeld etc.....

Its damage control for sure, bring him in and hope he convinces trac and clayt to stay
