Mate, these guys are either professionals or they’re notAnd Jesus wept.
Is there no such thing as a joke anymore?
How far would this get in the AFL?
Well, it's certainly the end of humour in the workplace!Mate, these guys are either professionals or they’re not
This isn’t a party, this is their workplace
Private functions are still work functions
If I dressed up in the costumes that the GWS or the umpire did at a function, I’m sacked
This isnt the end of humour.
Exactly. I’m at a work or any function to relax. Not feel awkward because I accidentally laughed at something Karen from accounts found “utterly distasteful”If I was in a workplace where the function censored the choice of humorous presentations in the way that the AFL does, I would be leaving as soon as I could, and certainly not attending any such function. I would be doing all I could to organize a boycott by others of the whole thing, and denigrating my employer in any way I could.
