Tide has turned a little here - Bontempelli time for the Dogs as they're starting to lose clearances and contested possession.

Motlop has been good for Carlton in this quarter. Injected some pace and some defensive pressure.

Carlton appear to have the same immunity as Geelong against holding the ball calls - some terrible non-calls for players not disposing of the ball.

For a team that has Naughton and Ugle-Hagan in its forward line, as well as Lobb floating down there, the Dogs are very reluctant to go into their forward 50 quickly. Carlton's mids and wings are being given the chance to flood back and are outworking their Dogs' counterparts at the moment.

It's bizarre watching two teams with so many talls and key forwards who just refuse to use them. Just give us one.
