That was an uninspiring game from two pretty uninspiring sides.
Scrappy would be putting it kindly. The fumbling and skill errors were infuriating to watch.

I look forward to stitching up both of these sides this year. Bulldogs in particular. Can't believe how badly they trounced us in the first half of the game last year. Somehow we got back into the game though and had all the momentum before De Goey got a 50m penalty against him merely for making an angry face after a bogus ITB free kick against him. That umpire dissent nonsense ruined so many games last year. Took way too long to do away with it.

It's the way bevo has the Bulldogs playing was the same in 2016 brings other teams down to thier s**t level.
Looked a pretty awesome side to me when they won it. A couple of other years as well.
He's been there too long. Time for change.

Saturday lineup pretty good.

Hawks vs North. Obviously has some appeal with the Clarkson appointment. Also, Hawks would be hoping to snag a couple winnable games for a bit of positivity, and you'd think reigning spooners would have to count as a winnable game.

Carlton vs GWS. Not a whole heap between the two for mine. GWS have actually been doing a lot right in the first two games and Carlton - I just don't rate them as highly as others do and it's not out of hatred, I just think they're average everywhere bar the forward line.

St Kilda vs Essendon. 55/45 type game for mine. St Kilda probably look a smidge ahead; but Essendon have been alright as well. Should be a good one.

Port vs Adelaide. Both teams rated themselves highly pre-season. Both have disappointed early. Will be disastrous for the loser.

Always like the heat of a Showdown
