I'm not hugely invested in either game this week. Comfortable with the better team losing tonight, though does make it easier for Brisbane. We're down to two serious contenders remaining, Pies and Lions.

I have diagnosed Melbourne.

They're a team full of blokes who think they're the man, trying to have their hero moment.

And they'll trip over playing smart football in an effort to be the hero.

Gawn trying to take the mark on the goal line and spoiling the goal typifies this.

But on tonight, there was another large force at play and I think Hamish Brayshaw might know what I'm talking about. There was clearly an agenda to get Carlton into the prelim tonight. Umpiring as biased as I've seen it.

No chance, Carlton have over achieved to get this far and have just come off a very brutal game and will be as flat as a pancake next week. Brisbane will get the customary bruise free, easy prelim ride into the grand final.
