Adams wants to go to Collingwood, always has. But we had the upper hand of having an ok 25 yr old ruck man to send up there which would be perfect for GWS. The only options Collingwood had of trading was Shaw, but its yet to be confirmed if he wants to go to GWS or they even want him.

Now GWS have Mumford they would no longer be looking at trading with us. So we can kiss Adams goodbye.

edit: Can assure you Adams prefers Collingwood, but in the end wouldn't be unhappy if he ended up at Carlton.

It doesn't change anything if Adams stated he wanted to move to Carlton.

A first round pick would get it done. Don't underrate the players you can draft with picks 11 to 13. That's where the Giants secured Adams in a compromised draft that didn't have Cameron, Treloar, etc. in the draft.

Interesting that my cousin wants out there... he has turned into a very serviceable player taking more after his uncle than his dad.

It could be that Leppitsch is having a massive cull up there to get rid of some of Crazy Vossy's worst recruiting mistakes and some of the younger players are thinking that they might be in the firing line and are jumping ship.

I'd say Bett's compo (if it was considered band 1 therefore - pick #13 ) - would be enough surely, hell he's more likely decreased in value due to no games and so many other forwards ahead.
