I don't really have a problem with what the jumpers look like, just it makes me laugh when all we heard is that the listened to the fans and were going to change the jumper, the colours and give a nickname.

Well the Suns is a nickname, but the colours have not changed, and the jumper has only changed marginally.

Thankyou AFL for giving the Gold Coast a team. We all know who runs the team, and I guess that is fair enough seeing as you are going to have to pay a truck load for the team over the next decade

I think we have a winner for least interesting home jumper.

When they said they were going to announce the nickname, jumper and song, I was expecting something we hadn't seen or heard before. Really, this was just confirming what we already knew with an excuse to make as many laboured references to "rising up", the sky, flame and anything else sun related they could think of.

Bit of a blown opportunity there.

I think the logo, jumper, song and name the Suns are all okay. Having the logo pasted on the front of the strip is a little odd though. Having a gold sun instead would be better imo.

I can definitely say however that they are all better than what Brisbane has to offer at the moment.

The only thing I don't like is how the GC runs into the circle around it. Pretty nitpicky but it just makes me think of pointless "modernizing" of logos. Overall I think they've done pretty well with the name and jumpers. I'd be pretty stoked if GWS does as well.

Ah geez, so that's why the logo's been annoying me. Now I'm never going to be able to look at it without seeing it as "ST"... cheers.

Generally speaking most football teams of all codes and especially two team towns, try to have a bit of difference in their colours.
It helps to build an 'us against them' feeling as well as a bit of solidarity when you see someone else wearing your teams colours.
I'm not sure how thats gonna work when your local rivals just try to steal your colours. Once again the AFL shows us all that they are a pack of idiots.
