He needs to put his hand up. If Tredders wanted to get more involved, he would.
Maybe.

But if Darren Cahill said - Tredders, we want you on the panel, it will be a 6 to 8 week process, this won't take up much of your time, you can still do your job at ch 9, we will work interviews around your schedule, we need your no bullshit approach on the panel - I can't see Tredders saying no.

I'm hoping that Koch loses interest in being chairman after the 150th celebrations are over and moves on.
Koch signed a 2 year extension for Sunrise in late 2018, to the end of 2020. Maybe it's all part of the grand retirement plan to quit all by 2020. Maybe if comeback Karl and Allison Langdon smash them in the ratings, it could all be fast tracked.

Koch won't leave until we at least make a GF. That or until the AFL push comes. Either way, it's not likely to be soon.
Winning a final, or finishing top 4 is hard enough as it is.

So effectively you’re telling me I have to barrack for Karl bloody Stefanovic to get a new coach to Port Adelaide.

January 2 and we’ve achieved #peak2020 already... ;)

I feel like if Koch got sacked from Sunrise he would hold.onto his presidency even tighter to try and retain some relevancy.

On the plus side he might give it his full attention and grow some balls knowing that if that's all hes got he needs to make it win for his ego.

Regardless of what Ken does in his personal time nonetheless what he does on the field as a coach he is not nor ever will be the right fit as head coach for PAFC we need someone with drive thats able to make those tough calls and whip the players into shape. A legitimate game plan that works and is strategically 1 up on the rest not this run hard run fast bomb it into the biggest pack up forward. Its work in a couple of games but we need a game plan that revolves around hitting up lead targets so then the forwards have a set shot not having to rush shit and kicking 9 goals 22 behinds a game. The future coach needs to be proud of where he is at he neads to eat drink breath and live the colour teal but most importantly the next coach needs to create a solid foundation so the club can grow and once again the game plan needs to be based on consistency one thing we lack more than most.

Koch will go soon before then, unless of course we win a GF this year.

Good chance all 3 of KKK go this year, at which point all the dead wood on the board probably goes also.

Irrespective if ken makes finals he must go having him around during our 150th is only going to make it a laughingstock spectacle. North moved its coach on in its 150th and look how they ripped us apart on field

I would like to see Tredders as president and Schofield as head coach. Voss can go straight away as well

Mediocrity has ingrained our club and created a supporter base of happy clappers

One person i would be keen to explore / consider as Head Coach...Luke Hodge
Qualifications include;
- premiership captain ×3
- played under AFL's best coach
- played as Capt Coach at Lions last 2 year
- Knows the modern game
- his character would suggest would make the tough decisions
- his on field 'coaching' demonstrates his tactical nouse
Just a thought but to me he is the Port Adelaide type...tough, ruthless combined with knowledge of the modern game

This sounds like what everyone thought of Michael Voss back in the day.

Also a dog sniper and a repeated unrepentant criminal who has endangered people's lives.

Would still be better than what we have though.

Chris Fagan who is held in high regard within the industry did not hesitate to get Hodge to the Lions...
Leigh Matthews who is held in high regard within the industry did not hesitate to hand over the reigns to Michael Voss.

Until you see them run their own teams, with all issues around being an off field coach, you will never know if the great on field generals will make very good to great coaches.

I wouldn't jump the gun with the Fagan praise. Brissy may completely drop off this year. It's still too early too tell.
