Goorambat had 18 at training tonite, the fella i spoke to said that they are going to struggle to get 2 sides up and running. Reckons there arent many 'ins' and have alot of young kids. plenty of netty players thou!

swannie are in the same boat aren't they.....not a lot footballers training but plenty of netballers.....maybe the girls will have to double up
...seriously though if that's right about numbers at both clubs, the 2 clubs need to get their heads together before it's too late.....Put Pride and Egoes aside and keep some history rather than closing the doors

Ive heard he might be going to the Valley a while ago play with a few mates, His old man was a premiership player with Milawa in the 80's.

I think you could get more than 4 navy! If clubs, or more to the point players who are coming into the o&k & thinking they are better than what they really are were realistic, they would NOT be paying players anything over $150!! I seriously don't believe anyone is worth more than $150-$200 per week!
Clubs should be able to get 10 very, very handy players for $1000 per week! Players are putting too high a price on there head and it is making it difficult for clubs to survive! They don't understad all the time & effort that goes into trying to run a club! They just want to play, get paid & take off! They put nothing back into the club
Has been mentioned bringing back the salary cap would help, but how would that be able to be patrolled anyway. No wonder some clubs are struggling!!!

Have heard a few whispers that you have picked up some very handy players from in town & may even have a few from out of town who will be good pick-ups for you! Things looking very good at this stage, especially when you aren't really losing too many players from what i've been told!
I've also been told that your big full-forward is training really well & lost some pounds - can only help him.

Yes all that you have mentioned is pretty much correct , there is a great atmosphere around the club at present thats for sure. I think though that alot of the top end clubs seem to be also picking up quality players so to stay up in the top 4 we need everyone of these blokes and more . Its fantastic for the league that players are joining o&k clubs i think we could have a fantastic inter league outfit if we could get the actual best side on the park. On a negative note i think all this recruiting by the already strong clubs such as milawa Glenrowan & us and we all know Tarra will be strong regardless if they have picked any up or not and the improvement of greta & al blacks is going to make it all the more difficult for the suspect new clubs joining the comp. A couple of years ago it might not have been as big a gap but this coming season i think is going to see some huge blow outs , hope im wrong.

Is The Machine really training the house down Virge.......Mate I agree about the gap,the bottom 5-6 could be a long way back..But as I've mentioned before, remember the first time we played you guys, 40+ goal touch up and the Machine kicked about 23 gls. It'll take a while for these guys to get sorted and know where they have to get to.

How smart is Karl? I heard he signed a 2 year contract with the Rovers 2 weeks ago and wanted to be involved in their leadership group and today heard he is selling himself around to Mulwala because he is not happy.How do you work him out???
"Leadership Group". Wouldn't think Karl Norman would even make the cut for the leadership group of the Ovens & Murray Jets

On the subject of Sesho I heard the other night he may struggle to get a game with the Rovers 1sts. He may get a game with injuries, but they have a pretty good forward line & he may struggle to get in there to begin with...

It would appear the Tatong jumper fiasco has now been sorted, the next thing now is ground conditions for Rd1. Got told the other day to expect a fair bit of rain Feb/Mar...Hope so. Any grounds not likely to be ready ?

Yes big loss but your recruits may cover the losses!
It's ok I think I know the incident that has happened over the off season but I won't repeat it on here either - not something that needs to be aired on this forum.
