Dont change the subject!! Myrtleford were a 6 goal better side than any team last year an should of won but they were to arrogant! They seem to be very determined to make amends this year! But have they missed there chance ?

Pretty simple question little H, How have yarra performed in finals of recent years? Wasn't changing the sublect, just asking a question, and if you can't answer it maybe someone else can.

Finals is a different ball game, all you have to do is make the finals and from there anything can happen. And guess what? This is a different year and a new finals series presents itself and myrtleford is not the team to beet this year, yarra is.

For someone that doesn't support Yarra you seem to know a fair bit about the club.

I do follow the club as I know a number of players there, so I hope they do well. Its been a long time since they last tasted sucess down at Pigeon land.

The hearing went for a mamoth 4 an half hours last night, an apparently Ian Findlay had a few of the witnesses back peddaling!

Does anyone remember who that guy was that won the footy show wheel for Wangaratta ? He was a small nuggety rover ? Where is he now ?

I think it was Adam Hicks. Pretty sure he doesn't play footy anymore. Works in real estate down in Melbourne. Think he does a bit od body building... massive unit!

I do know a few people up that way, an I can tell you that there were a lot of dissapointed folks at Myrtleford after last years decider. They are quietly confident of making amends this year though! Only a little PIGEON will stand between them an glory!

I disagree with your comments there BIG "H" about Myrtleford being quietly Confident. I would say Yarra are the ones that think they are very very confident. according to all the Yarra fans on the forum and speaking to Yarra people they should already have the 2006 Premiership cup in their hands.

Well the yarra people should be confident, they are the favourites. They have only lost one game for the year an that was to Myrtleford by 8 points, an they had more scoring shots! I know Myrt are quietly confident they believe they are to play there best footy!!

Tell me this Big "H" Does Myrtelford not have a right to be a little bit confident??

They prob do, they have a better side than last year an barring injury an ensuring they can put it all together come G/F day they are a big chance! A little bit of RAIN wouldnt do there chances any harm either.

I agree Yarra have only lost one game and only by 8 points however we still have not seen Myrtleford at full strength due to their terrible run with injuries. If they get their best side up and running i think the pidgeons may just meet their match!

I agree POJ it will certainly be a very entertaining Grand Final if both teams face off, it looks pretty much a good thing at the minute unless P.Docerty can carry Lavi into contention!

No s h i t they were dissapointed, that is some hard hitting info big H, must be a reliable source that told you that.

We seen last year, all you have to do is make the GF and anything can happen, no matter who is in it!

Very true. It was him. He gave up footy and spends most of his time in front of the mirror.

All seriousness though he is in real estate and no longer plays footy.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but is there some rule that gives direct qualification to this years grand final.

I agree yarra and myrt are the 2 best teams of the home and away season. That doesn't mean they'll square off in the big 1

the reason i enjoy footy finals is the unpredictability.
Anthing could happen in the next month of footy. What has already happened counts for very little come finals time, it just helps us find the 5 teams who play the year out.

If the rule mentioned above does exist, lets just play the GF between yarra and myrt next weekend . . . it'll save us all bothering with those other teams in the comp and we can all get on the juice a bit earlier!

Be a shame to see these 2 top teams prepare for the GF now . . . and not make it!

exactly right. there are 5 teams in the Top 5. and anything and everything will happen in the next month of football.

i doubt very much it will be a Yarra v Myrtleford Game. if Yarra make it, Myrtleford wont.and if Myrtleford make it, Yarra wont. Both sides are the money teams of the o&m and one GF isnt big enough to hold the amount they would have spent to get their players. and honestly the likely opponent for either Yarra or Myrtleford will be Lavington, Albury or Wdonga. It really is anyones game.

by the way H, there isnt such thing as a passionate local supporter. you follow a league coz its your JOB or you follow A CLUB.

What has the amount of money spent got to do with anything Buckdaddy? There is no salary cap any more in the O&M!Not that there ever was for most of the teams on the border!!!!!

I think both. I'm thinking along the lines of John "I have no idea, Jinxy" Clarke

The issue of commitment/desire and loyalty, or lack there of, would spawn from the monetary reserves dipped into to get these players I would have thought, Jack.

Sounds like the comp has expanded! Wagga is not allowed to enter yet we're gunna let cowra travel down for the weekend! Ive got my doubts they'll do any good, rugby is a bit strong up that way:D
