Old mate Travis is a real piece of work eh, trying to bring down the image of the wang football club.. when he admitted (on the day of the incident) that he took goode off the ground "because i cant control him" like seriously he admits his player is off his head then tries to say wang were at fault... get over your self trav and try and win a footy game on ability not thuggery... Because we all have seen that when it comes to the hard stuff your teams as soft as puppy sh!t.
Hodgson has had open cheque books where ever he has coached previous to this year and has been media hungry increasing his profile whenever and wherever he could. He put his spin on things and probably was never really questioned as his results backed up his mouth. This year though as i have previously mentioned was going to be the real test on whether he could actually coach-the proof is in the results as his football world is falling down around him.I think if you look a bit deeper with a lot of experienced players leaving him after 1 to 2 years(It was happening at Myrtleford before he jumped there as well don't worry),this year with an exodus and then the Mackie situation on top of Brown to Rand in 09 as a/c etc that players just dont or wont play for him and again if you look at the facts-surely if that was the case he would have won at least 1 flag.Anyway it will be interesting to see if he can rebuild his reputation because it is obviously taking a fair battering.

that makes it better than maybe porter should of got off free rather than given 5 i didnt realise he only hit Godde (while on ground helpless) because of what happen to mcormick in the final errrr!!!doesnt matter at the end of the day Porter is cheap and im hoping when they meet again Godde gets even with him and sees how porter likes it being hit on the ground

Daine wacked the dirty lil bastard because he headbutted his brother for christs sake! as for getting into him on the ground if Godde wasnt wimpering like a little bitch he may have put up some resistance... And this "king hit" description thats the biggest load of bollocks iv heard since... well forever.

As for whether they meet again i hope Kane learns to control his mouth abit and realises the world doesnt revolve around him, or the poor fella may not be as fortunate as to escape in one peice.

I'm not a fan at all of Wang or Nth for that matter, but I find it all pretty funny.

Anyway, on a lighter note. Anyone go to the Lavi v Myrt game on Sunday. No suprise on the result, but I heard Tristen Purss took a hanger on Butler in the first quarter. Anyone see it?

Even though it was a myrtleford player it was still the best mark i've seen in the OM for a number of years.

lets not get carried away with the rovers boys... have had injuries and its just an abomination at the moment which has left a few blokes scratching there heads... but it will still leave more blokes scratchin their heads at the end of the season when everyone will be saying, "where did the rovers come from"...

im a betting man and once the mighty hawks odds get out beyond $31 the money will well and truly be on and the boys will turn it on and get the dividend at the end of the year that will pay for their next high profile recruit next year... the joke will be on you brad mcgrath and the entire o & m... l

ook forward to it lads strap yourselves in and watch the hawkers spread their wings and fly away...

wang V yarra going to be a very gud game think wang mite get up
Should be a top match, and you're right, the Magpies should get up - Yarra are ticking along nicely enough, but haven't really been that impressive this season. Wang missing quite a few automatic selections will even it up a bit, but I'd still pick them to win by four or five goals. Ed Clarke's tribunal case being adjourned til Monday night won't hurt.

Hawks definitely have the talent, even with some of the injuries they've had. The backline is excellent, although they were found out a bit by the Roos last week. With Hartwig, Norman, Tucci, and now Allen back in it's a handy defensive unit. They do need another quality midfielder to back up A Hill and Allan though, particularly with Raven out. Was a shame McDonald got hurt, as he was showing some great form - hopefully back against Lavi after bye. And a quality CHF would help too - the platypus shows a bit here and there, but doesn't quite look ready to do any major damage. Wouldn't go outlaying too much of your hard-earned...

nonch, seems like you know a bit about the rovers, just wondering would Tucci be the favourite for the b&f at this point of the year? I have seen only one game but he seems to be in the best most weeks.

i see that wang haven't named either henry or cairns, i thought both would be back. it is going to be a great contest between wang and yarra. got a feeling yarra might be a bit too strong with some of the key players wang have missing proving a bit too hard to cover

i hear that round 12 is marked for the return of thayer and j mccormick too. poor old raiders can't take a trick

a quick check of the draw tells me that d porter's suspension will expire just in time for him to return to the side in round 15 - v nth albury at bunton park. could be an interesting day of footy that one!!!

you could say that wang wont get up but rember r1 wang had 6 or 7 players out of there premiship side and still beat yarra

Is that you Tucci??

I think Yarra is a massive chance to turn the tables on Wang this week as they have got better as the year has gone on. Should be a good game!

realy shows where yarra are at they wer at basicily full strength and still could not beat wang that had 11 out yarra may just make finals but will not do much

Tucci should be right up there, but I'd say there'd be a few in the running. Tyson Hartwig could be a dark horse, but it would be pretty hard to go past Andy Hill - even though he's been injured, the games he has played have been top shelf. But Tucci wouldn't surprise.

Yeah, like I said, they're ticking along without being real impressive. As far as finals go, it's still looking like Wang in a canter. Corowa Rutherglen probably the biggest threat - still don't really rate Lavi. And if Rovers get over Wodonga today I still think they are a chance to challenge - albeit a very slim one...

Forgot to mention Jamie Allan - 50 possessions today (yes 50) and four goals!

first tick off the list for the boys in brown and gold...!! goes to show what can be achieved when the boys put 4 qtrs together... no surprise though!

anyone see the game?

couple of standout performances but all in all it was a true team effort and they have set a new bench mark...

i can feel it happening... stay tuned!

a remarkable result really at the norm minns oval on saturday. last year's GF aside, that would have to be wang's best win in a long long time. they went in without j&d porter, steer, cairns, henry, canny, d mccormick, plus had jesse smith pull out late and then lost hayse in the 1st quarter. they gave the team then 2nd on the ladder a couple of goal start and a sound beating. you could see just how much that win meant to wang in the rooms after the game. added to the list above they will get j mccormick and thayer into the side by round 12, and pell is set to resume in the 2's shortly. they have clearly improved their depth, as they were smacked by yarra in the last round of 07 when they had a number of players out

The Wangaratta/North Albury saga will finally be all over tonight after the tribunal hears the case of Ed Clarke striking Brandan Ryan.
I'm guessing most people have seen the footage by now what is everyone's thought's on what he will get.
I think he'll get one or two

blah blah blah the game was no better standard that a saturday morning auskick display... yarra wont take anything out of that they didnt play well enough to mix it with the magoos on saturday and wang were missing a few players and it definately showed! will be good to see how the "great depth" measures up this week wont it PEANUT... good to see the black and white go down yesterday aswell... nothing sweeter!!

its an exciting time of the year...!

get amongst it lads...

As if you would have such a personal go at a coach of a footy club for making no comment.. No wonder the guy doesn't want to talk to him..
Good way to burn your bridges and never get a story out of that club at least until Mc Namara is coach anyhow..

Brad McGrath a poor excuse for a jerno but i suppose what would you expect thats why he is not at a higher level.. :)
