Marilyn Monroe quotes are all pretty funny when in context of the women who gave them.

Her worst includes
  • Multiple affairs during 3 marriages
  • Massive emotional and mental issues that led to her suicide, including borderline personality disorder.
Her best would have to be pretty damn good ha.
 
I don't think a single sportsperson could get by without having recourse to the words "obviously" and "interesting". A sportsperson should receive an electric shock every time s/he uses one of those words.

Every time a politician makes a comment that perhaps they might consider the relative merits of a particular situation or course of action, next day in the paper it's "Minister vows to take on...." Shits me no end.
 
How long's a piece of string.

There was a guy at my school that literally carried around a piece of string in his pocket, so that every time anybody said that phrase, he could pull it out and say "this long".

"Meme" - it is not just any old picture with words on it, I'm looking at you Facebook groups.

Not necessarily in the theme of the thread, but people using "his" instead of "he's" - i.e. Can't stand Shane Watson, his a knob. Did people not go to school?

Matthew Lloyd sprouts it everytime someone goes for a run. FFS, If the guys quick just say it. I can wiggle my legs at a great speed. Doesn't mean I'm quick.
 
People who describe themselves as 'happy go lucky'
I'm not sure why but that phrase just does my head in.
These people are generally the biggest drama queens when shit doesn't go their way to ironically.

Here's a cool new phrase which is not overused at all.
