what you dont realise it that your not the most hated team because you're the greatest, you're the most hated because you THINK you're the greatest, when in reality you're really all just a bunch of egotistical tossers.

Carlton/Essendon with 16 premierships or Collingwood with 14 premierships... oh, during one time it had the most flags than anyone else?

Inspired by Gunder. :)

Brisbane Lions - 3 flags in 10? years
Adelaide Crows - 2 flags in 12? years
West Coast Eagles - 2 flags in 15? years

Least succesful - University - no finals
Fremantle - one final
StKilda - hopeless jokes

Carlton/Essendon.

They've been more consistant over a longer period of time.
No they haven't, we have consistently headed the premiership table for the majority of it's 100+ year history, nobody even comes close to the dominance we exerted in this respect, it is a total blowout

1st club to reach 1000 wins, still have the most wins, most finals wins, most finals appearances, 4 premierships in a row, longest period at head of the premiership tabel, most supporters, most talked and written about, most famous etc etc.... just a matter of time til we have the most premierships again, we are like Man U, there are waves, cycles of success and lows, just a matter of time
Damn right you are like Manchester United.

Collingwood had a glory era and are past it, and Manchester United just had theirs and are past it. Plus there is a club more successfull then you, and both their manager / coach are morons

*Raspberry Fergie and Malthitler*

Clearly the stats that Essendon have more flags, have never had the bank just about to close the joint, have had more million dollar profit seasons, have more fans in every statistical survey, have higher attendances this year...are totally irrelevant. Collingwood says they're the biggest, therefore they ARE the biggest.

Apparently they're now numero uno in the Top End, despite most kids professing a love for the EFC. Because Eddie says so!!!!

I would say....********ers....but I'm really only restricting this to Gunder.

Carlton is the best club ever in terms of premierships with 16 equal with Essesdon as well as being second overall in wins behind Collingwood. Carlton has the most premiership cups with 8 equal with Hawthorn while Collingwood only has one just as many as St Kilda. So much for their dominance. Plus Carlton has only one woodern spoon as was the last Victorian team to do so.

If we are talking about Premierships won then we slot into third place.

If we are talking about finishing position on average then we are clearly no 1 with daylight to second in Carlton with daylight to third in Essendon.

Supporters again Collingwood 1st, Essendon 2nd and Carlton 3rd. The 2nd and 3rd places will reverse as Carlton reclaim their rightful place behind the Pies in the coming years.

Now where's that Supporters figure come from?????? Or do you just make them up as usual???

Absolute codswallop on both counts.

stop living in the past because u have no present, carlton and essendon are more consistent, good teams win the grand finals not just get into them. 4 premierships in a row: that was like the 1920s what were there 6 teams then? Sure collingwood are a strong body of the AFL and perhaps hav the most loyal supporter group, but ud hardly say theyre the best.

1st club to top 1 million attendances in a year.
Record home and away attendance 99 thousand.
Record grand final attendance 125 thousand.

One guess who the common denominator in all the above is?

Thats right, the most famous club in Australia!

That's like saying Port are a great side in recent times.... Nobody gives a toss where you finish, it's all about WINNING the last game of the year!!! Carlton without doubt over time are leaps and bounds ahead of Collingwood...

It will take 100+ years for Carlscum to dominate the head of the premiership table as Collingwood have over the last century.... not much hope of that anyway with Big Eddie building another dynasty

So, therefore, 2005 is the pies year

If not, maybe Sydney

Kidding yourself big time... There are teams with far better lists that the Pies. Wont go close again for at least a couple of years. Agree they have the best facilities in the league now, but that doesn't win you flags.

Collingwood have become the biggest club in Aus. The main reason being we get Eddie shoving them down our throats every week. We continually hear about how Collingwood always sell stadium's out and how there fans are the most passionate in the league. Really its all a load of crap.

The biggest club in Aus would get more than 27,000 to a home friday night game wouldnt they?

And lets not even ask the question where Carlton and Essendon would be now if they had gone through the drought we did, would'nt have 2 supporters to rub together, this is also the mystique of Collingwood and why they are considered the greatest

does anyone, other than collingwood supporters, believe collingwood to be the greatest?
