We missed some very gettable shots and played dumb footy at times. What was Smith thinking?

Overall though a great effort from our young side. Billy, Mitch, Sicily, Big Boy, Burton and Shiels all really stood up. We did have a few too many passengers today.

Shattered for Hodge as we were the better side. We lost due to inexperience down back and some disgraceful umpiring.

How was that not a free to Roughie for over the shoulder? No different than the frees Cheatwood and Dangerflog got inside 50. 4 free kicks inside forward 50 to zero was the difference. Hard when good tackles aren't rewarded yet we get pinged with questionable prior.

Geelong are absolute pretenders this year. One player won't win you a flag and they will be found out in September.

Twice you've stuffed it against the Cats, Smith

A win would have been nice, but missed too many chances when we should have taken them.

Was disappointed with the number of careless/stupid frees Hodgey gave away in our defensive 50 that directly resulted in goals - helps to ease the 'do it for Hodge' disappointment to be frank.

Danger simply too good whether on the ball or as a resting forward - had no answer to him.

Amazing effort given the amount of talent we have on the sidelines (infinitely more than the Cats) not to mention the amount of inexperience we're carrying in the backline.

Well done Hodgey on a superlative career, that final goal he kicked just before the sired was the perfect example of what a star he's been.

Nice gif, don't gamble.

These Hawks just don't go away do they. Shame about the end result, Dangerfield really the difference in the end, he was just ridiculous. I don't think I've seen such a midfield beast as Tom though his centre/stoppage clearance work defies belief. All in all this version of Clarkos Hawks is definitely heading in the right direction it's exciting times.

So bloody close! Poor old Issy again:(

We've taken it up to yet another top side though which is a major positive, especially considering the inexperienced heads we've got

Disappointing not to get it done for Hodgey, gotta send him of in style come the end of the year

As I was leaving the ground herd on the radio that Birchall was involved in the post match regarding Hodge.

Couldn't help thinking there is a fellow who wears no 14 and who is a complete gentleman and an honourable and talented footballer,
Unlike the flog in the blue hoops wearing no 14, of whom, one couldn't say much nice at all.
