Top 10 seems not too far off what I’d expect.

Obviously Houston probably would’ve finished 3rd if he didn’t miss the last 4 games.

Butters, JHF and Houston were our clear 3 best players.

The only real issue is I thought Rozee was a bit high, and surprised to not see Georgiades in the top 10.

So what's the deal with Shaun Burgoyne? Has he finished up? (I didn't have the stomach to watch but some posts seem to suggest this)

Qualifying Final votes v Geelong
7. Bergman, Horne-Francis, 5. Burton, 3. Sweet, 2. Boak, Byrne-Jones, 1. Aliir, Drew, Georgiades, Rioli, Rozee, Wines

Mid field poor, Georgi and Rioli only forwards with a vote. I50's us 53 v them 57. Backmen dominate our voting, no surprise
Coaches votes - nobody from Port got any
No votes by 11 players.

Semi-Final votes v Hawthorn
11. Burgoyne, 8. Rioli, Sweet, 7. L Evans, Georgiades, Horne-Francis, 6. Aliir, Byrne-Jones, Drew, Rozee, 5. Bergman, Ratugolea, Zerk-Thatcher, 4. Butters, Jones, 3. Sinn, Wines, 2. Boak, Mead, 1. Narkle

Coahes votes Jase B 10, Sweet 5, Rioli 3, BZT 1.

20 of 23 players polled a vote, those who didn't are F Evans, Marshall and Lorenz who only played a quarter or less.

Preliminary Final votes v Sydney
10. Aliir, 4. Horne-Francis, Jones, Sweet, 3. Burgoyne, Drew, Rozee 2. Boak, Burton, Butters, L Evans, Wines, 1. Bergman, Byrne-Jones, Dixon, Georgiades, Narkle, Rioli

Some generous votes here - Dixon, Narkle, Burton and Boak in particular especially when consider some costly mistakes

18 players got votes inc all of the 12 that got votes against Geelong. Those who didn't get a vote are F Evans (sub), Ratugolea, BZT, Sinn and Mead

Coaches votes - nobody from Port got any.

Horne- Francis, Aliir, Bergman and Sweet our most consistent in finals
Aliir 1/6/10
JHF 7/7/4
Sweet 3/8/4
Berg 7/5/1

Rioli 1/8/1

Finished? Did he ever start?

So similar relationship to Fagan listening and using Matthew’s
No.

Jack and Darren had a falling out and didn't talk for a decade. I think Jack and Ken have more of that sort of father/son relationship, than the one you alluded to in your initial post.

Votes for our mids over the last 5 finals:

Drew - 9 4 1 6 3 - 23 total
JHF - 2 2 7 7 4 - 22
Rozee - 6 1 1 6 3 - 17
Butters - 5 3 0 4 2 - 14
Boak - 0 3 2 1 2 - 8
Wines - 0 0 1 3 2 - 6
So telling. Wines and Boak very poor. Rozee and Butters not much better. No consistent good performers.

Amazed Boak polled any against the Swans.

First thoughts on the results are Burgoyne and Georgiades haven't gotten the credit they deserve. Rozee is way too high and Bergman must've roared up the list in the back half of the year, because his first half and the failed wing experiment was pretty putrid
Agree, Bergman was ineffective on the wing. Eventually the club made the move so many of us had called for b4 round 1. Expected Rozee to be too high. DBJ is a player I dislike as he's lazy so I'm not happy with his ranking but concede he did kick goals. Agree re Georgie & Burgoyne.

Sack Burgoyne.

This board spent nearly all of last year screaming for Bergman to be playing on the wing, with his eventual first quarter against GWS being shown as a prime example of why that is his best, most effective position.
