If Pagan is sacked this week then the club is dead serious about winning games of football. I personally don't like this mentality of tanking. Winning is the only way to get confidence into players. At the moment we are losing on merit as we aren't good enough. I reckon though we are capable of winning at least 2 more games. So be it. Some people think that this Kruezer kid is going to come in and fix things overnight. Our problems on the field run deeper than that. It's this sort of losing mentality that is a disease on the club. You only have to look at Collingwood and the Kangarooos to see what spirit and commitment can do to players. That comes from the coaching staff and they way they develop their players.
Our club is getting things right off the field but where it counts on the field we lack leadership and direction. These boys need a leader who they will look up to, who will teach them and who will develop them and prepare them for the rigors of AFL football.

Didn't Pratt say he expected us to get 10-11 wins?

Well it's R16 now and we have 4 wins. If we lose this weekend, it'll make reaching Dick's KPI pretty hard to achieve.

Dick strikes me as a man of his word, most of the time. He'd give Denis every chance (mathematically speaking) of reaching his target.

But if Denis reaches a point where he's obviously going to fall short, it'll be off with his head (figureatively speaking).

Does this lend some credibility to Brian Taylor's rumour, that Pagan will be gawn this week? (obviously we could win the game and Pagan's still alive).

Now, for a quick lesson to our younger supporters, in the old days when the team was doing bad the coach got flung to the curb.

Well, Pagan has done sweet FA, mind you it may not be his fault, but he should expect to get flung to the curb.

I dont have any source's or know anyone behind the scenes at carlton. i Voss has not signed and is not a done deal at carlton. IMO pagan will coach out till the end of this season and then be let go. I think carlton will conduct a proper interview process and speak at length with all applicants.

At the end of the day i think Guy mckenna will be new coach.

Taylor didn't say Pratt would bail us out. He said Fahour was a "certainty" to be the next president, about a year ago.

Today on MMM Taylor backed away from his comments yesterday at a rate of knotts.

Under Pagan's reign we have never beaten St.Kilda or Brisbane in about 8-10 attemps each.

Today was depauable. I don't give a flying **** how bad our team is - it isn't that bad to be getting beaten like that every week.

If he doesn't get sacked before the season is out its a disgrace.

Yep pagan doing a great job... didn't we beat Brisbane and just lose to them in the home and away early in the year and now they are beating us by 117 points ... fair to say the team is going backwards so nobody could possible defend him.

Whether it's entirely his fault or not, Pagan is gone. Whether that's this week or season's end time will tell. However if the club have made the decision that Pagan will not be coaching next year, please take action now. Surely we can't perform any worse under a caretaker coach? We also need to ensure that we don't miss out on ALL the best candidates by not declaring our position early enough.
