Cripps is only 26 but has carried a bit load for a long time and gets banged up a lot. You wonder how much juice is left in the tank?

I saw him live at the ground round one and he didn’t look like he’d fallen of the cliff. Every time he got the ball in traffic, especially in that first half he looked to break tackles and had our side in all sorts. Looking at the stats, he had 28 touches, 13 contested.

That kind of contract should be reserved for the elite well rounded mids, not elite inside only mids. I have said for years, as good as he is on the inside, he should never be discussed along side the truly elite mids which has been mentioned with previously. he doesnt hurt you enough, doesnt kick enough goals and for size and power he should be a Dusty like force when resting fwd but he's not a threat at all.

You would be stupid to pay more than 750K-850K for him I'd say that even if WC or Fremantle are into him.
He is not playing good football & is out of contract so the longer it goes on the more he's value falls off Carlton would have offered figures around area so it's concerning that he hasn't signed on.

Carried the Carlton Football Club for the last 5 years, and has put his heart and soul into every game. I don't know if it's his body breaking down, a poor mentality, or simply him just not adjusting to the modern game. You've got to feel for this bloke that has done so much for his club.

Lack of pace & lack of stoppages is definitely hurting his game. As a forward he doesn’t have the same power & agility as Danger, Bont & Martin. He’s more of a slow but strong semi trailer. Needs to evolve or the game will go past him.

He was less dominant that’s for sure.
In that first half every time he had the ball in a contested situation you would think he would just run through the opposition. He was noticeably their most dangerous player.

The PR disaster associated with Cripps leaving means nobody will ever outbid Carlton for Cripps. Don't see him going.
