"Good midfield depth" reeks of bitterness given he's averaging 27 disposals and a goal a game through two wins. There are a few big names at your club that he's thoroughly outperforming :)

Soft as butter on a minus - 30 degree evening , downhill skier , with half a ball , shits himself from his own shadow. Him and Brodie love to cuddle up with the same Teddy bear

I dunno what brand of butter you prefer but mine’s generally pretty hard to spread when it’s minus 30.

It seems you are the pea heart. One loss and you go in boots and all. Can't stomach haters who claim to be supporters. Did you go tonight or was it too chilly?

This is a thread about Lipinski, not Matrix10. Not sure why you’re posting your bio

Lose our first game by 2 goals against a top side, McRae can’t coach and lipinski is a dud. Fmd

I’m already over the pessimists. Wish we could have a secret society board without all the panic merchants.

Lipinski is a bloody great addition to our midfield. We need to be moving to the future sooner than later with our mids. Needs to be built around Nick D and Lipinski with a few other editions. Plus pendles going through as the old head until he retires.

Pat’s doing fine for pick 43.

Said a while ago that (injury permitting) he’ll play 100-150 for the club and i stick by that

Exactly. I think we'll get balance into the midfield group over time and he'll be better able to play to his strengths. Guys like Macrae and McInnes a good start. Nick Daicos when he gains a bit more maturity.

I think he's a talented player and had a good start to his career here. But I can see why Dogs supporters were critical of him, and I also don't think he's a future cornerstone for our midfield (if we want to build an actual Premiership quality one).

He has weird attributes. He's built like someone you would expect to be inside and hard at it, but he's someone who not only isn't inside, he clearly shies away from the hard stuff if you watch him closely at contests. The problem is, if you are going to be an outside player, he doesn't really have the physical attributes to be elite at it. He's a big plodding fella, with no real burst or run and carry ability, all his physical attributes are characteristic of a inside mid, not an outside one. So basically, he doesn't have the inclination to be a great inside player, and doesn't have the characteristics to be a great outside player. So you have someone who likely can't really excel in either. He can find the pill and he is a very good user, but he's very much a peripheral type of player who is never really going to drive the play like a great inside, great outside or great combo mid can.

I think he will be a good useful player who will play a lot of games for us, but I can see why there are concerns he isn't going to be part of the ideal core midfield group we would want in a few years when we want to be premiership contenders. It will the the same reason why he couldn't crack the Dogs midfield (even if our midfield group doesn't end up quite as good as theirs is).

I know he was a pretty cheap pickup, and Im happy with the trade, we have been crying out for quality mids. I just think there are genuine question marks when you start talking about him being a core building block for our midfield down the line.

We nearly won a flag with Brayden Sier as a key component of our midfield. Richmond has won multiple with heaps of incredibly flawed midfielders. I think Lipinski is absolutely fine. A smooth mover with elite disposal and a good goal sense is an easy guy to cover.

He was skinny when he started at Dogs - he's gradually built up in size, but you couldn't have expected him in his first few years to be able to really bustle on the inside. He's still only 23 - in a couple of years time, he'll have the body to be an inside weapon.

104 SC points from the game. That implies he had a pretty good game. Doing well in his first 3 games.

Not even attending that much CB at the moment, 7 on the weekend.

Kicking a goal a game.

He's only going to get better too.

I think it’s easy to forget he’s just barely scraped past the 50 game milestone so still very much a developing product.
