Wonder if his agent negotiated a media-related element to his contract. Bloke is front and centre in everything!
Everywhere Patty haha.Wonder if his agent negotiated a media-related element to his contract. Bloke is front and centre in everything!
This is just completely incorrect.
Even pendles said in today's presser, Lippa does exactly that. Has the kind of class and ball skills we dont have too much of and has fitted in well.Exactly. The recent Hawthorn and Richmond dynasties were filled with serviceable players.
Lipinski compliments our midfield just fine. I honestly don't know what some folks were expecting out of him.
We've made a lot of positional changes this year and had a couple of games missing our midfield bulls. People are going in way to early on him.
He is 190cmIs he standing on a box or is he slightly taller than pendles?? It's a little surprising how tall he is..
He will be solid but doubt he gets to Crisps level. Crisp was a new 6 gamer when he came to us and exceeded expectations. Lippa has 5 seasons behind him so is a more known quantity. Solid best 22 without being a star seems reasonable. Bonus if moreHe'll go from strength to strength, like Crispy did, has the tools
And there is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone are stars. I'm sure himself, he is happy to be in a best 22 team playing every week, and just focused on improving his game. And with knowing you are in such a position, your confidence will grow and not think you'll be back playing vfl next week like his time at the dogs.He will be solid but doubt he gets to Crisps level. He's good enough already and sounds like a hard worker who will continue to improve. Looks like a long term player to me. Great value from a pick in the 40s.And there is nothing wrong with that. Works as hard as anyone, probably harder this pre-season tbh. Definitely felt he was out of prove something to himself. However you look at it, we got such a player for cheap that has made such an impact on the group and on the team. That alone... = priceless. He's good enough already and sounds like a hard worker who will continue to improve. Looks like a long term player to me. Great value from a pick in the 40s.
Yeah, I wouldn't be too concerned. He is aiming to get better every day. He'll have up and down games as he adjusts to a new system and role. The more he plays, the better at the role he'll become. He only really got a run of games at the Dogs when Dunkley or Libba were out injured. Fringe players don't really have a properly defined role. We'll see what he's really capable of now since he'll be a focal point of our midfield.
He struggled under the pressure a bit in the WC and Brisbane games, but the St Kilda game was also a very high pressure game and I thought he showed great composure in that one. Still early days anyway. I like what I've seen so far and am confident he'll continue to improve. At the very least, he's filling a need in the midfield in the absence of mature age players on our list.
Yup. People like to complain for no reason. Not sure anyone expected him to get 30 and kick 2 goals every week lol How about we all just be happy with how he is contributing.Been solid enough. Not sure why there’s any angst about him.

I was thinking the same thing think it was 2009 Edd was spitting the dummy because none of our players were named all Australian so basically no stars apparently and then 2010 happenedLook at the 2010 list

Plenty of serviceable players and ‘duds’ on that
Perhaps, but given we acquired him for nothing I'm not sure how insecure the club would be about the dealClubs do it when they are looking to support a deal they made.
exactly. He is good looking and easily marketable so not sure why anyone is surprised.Perhaps, but given we acquired him for nothing I'm not sure how insecure the club would be about the deal

100%. Great pick up if he turns into that solid best 22 type at a Phillips/ Greenwood type level. If he can get to that we have won easily. Better than that and its cream on the top.And there is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone are stars.
