If you want to pay for chappy and all his value then he will cost at least 300k per year. I would rather spend the cash on a younger player.

You will be happy then because that is what Richmond are doing.
I have always thought bringing in great players to your football club is a really positive move, They bring in great work ethics, leadership, can mentor the younger players, like Cross if he goes to Melbourne. I am all for it.
Essendon bringing in Chapman is a great move as he will push Davey out. Chapman will add so much.

who a nd pick. they get two yrs at set rates. a rookie pick they come at a set rate.

we havent even cut a player as yet. we have had three players walk. the way its going we wont be taking too many kids. its as if they think we are locked and loaded as spud would say.

cut nahas who would be chewing up 200k bring in chapman what an upgrade you go from below standard to champ in one leap and only have to find 100k.

i really dont get this age paranoia that fans have.

if we got chapman he comes in a way that is only a win situation.

he takes the spot of a hack nahas.
he allows us to not play another ordinary player who becomes nothing but back up in king. how did we ever extend his contract.iknow how we dont learn.

he comes to the club for nothing doesnt cost a thing bar his wage.

on his wage its cheap.

he fills a list hole and he wont keep a kid out of the side we only have one decent sml forward mcdonough and hes a way off just yet. if mcdonough shows hes ready we just make chappy part of the midfield which he will be anyway.

oh just to add

even if he fails body wise and hardly plays a game. as bomb said you cant buy this blokes experience. what do we pay to our assistant coaches.

I never said anything about draftees and I'm WELL aware of how the system works. I just think he is a little old, and it showed last year his body is starting to fail. I'm all for dropping in players of quality if your top 4, but I don't think we are there yet and he probly wont be around when we do have a realistic shot at the flag. I also don't think he would provide any 'extra' experience as we have have plenty to use ie choco. I also understand we have players to cut and could probly afford him but he is getting on and I would rather keep our cash for a player with 4 years left.

There's a difference between a final or two and a whole other seasons worth including 3 flags.

I'm sure there is. It just has nothing to do with what you posted.

Wouldn't hurt to have someone who's played finals on your list.

Well, it could hurt. You only have 38 spots so they're pretty valuable.

The guy is 32yo and his legs are shot.

This would be our best recruit since Mark Williams. As much wisdom as I'm sure Chappy could impart whilst walking laps at training and playing a grand total of 4 or 5 games for us, I think I'd rather pass.

"With coarse rice to eat, with water to drink, and my bended arm for a pillow – I have still joy in the midst of these things. Riches and honors acquired by unrighteousness are to me as a floating cloud".

Dockers would be crazy not to chase him.
Will keep 40 goals in an area they need to lift in.

He'd be no good there, you play the majority of your footy loose across half back with the other dozen doing the same and then have to do 100+ mtr leads once there is a turn over towards your goal. Hammies would go twang.....

I'm currently watching his last game for Geelong, I am 15 minutes in and this guy is exactly what we need for the short term, absolute gun.....He's running well setting up and kicking goals, if his legs are shot you could have fooled me...Talk is cheap, he's a gun and in this video he is running fine, but hey you write him off at your own peril...Bomber said he wants him, I'm tipping we'll do it...WHooo Hoooo..

I'll let you know how the rest of the game goes...

I've never watched a replay of port vs Geelong before, it's knida weird...
