Timing is everything. Cheers, where do you find these team lines up by the way. I can never find them on the WALF website, nor Peel's?!
Oscar McDonald thrown forward. They prefer to go with Hugh Davies CHB and Ollie Murphy at FB.

He played forward abit for Carlton, we don’t have much tall timber down there and he’s a solid mark and good kick could do him well coming back from his injury

So would that mean omac is behind Davies and Murphy for afl opportunities or just that he's more of a known quantity and they want davies and Murphy in there for develoment

Glad to see that Simpsons injury was not serious.
Yeah right. What was it? Last I heard, there was a head clash or something, but that was ages ago.

I have watched training for the last couple of weeks. Last week Sturt was very hampered by his injury and was the first player released to the change rooms and returned with his knee iced. Honestly, I had him out for 8 weeks or needing further surgery.
This week he has come out and trained quite solidly and completed his entire rehab session, could of knocked me over with a feather, we might see him in the next month.
Fingers crossed he gets a good run at Peel before they consider feeding him to the wolves.
Yep that was my point. Writing (permanent marker) is on the wall so to speak.
The chances for him playing forward would be pretty unlikely. Voss, Cox would play forward ahead of him.
The point is Hugh Davies is next in line as a defender. I guess he is just as likely or unlikely to play forward as defender.
Was only ever an injury replacement for Cox/Pearce until the others developed. Draper came on a lot quicker than anyone expected so unfortunately for Oscar it’s one and done. That injury was really cruel. He looked pretty decent in the pre season.

McDonald up forward isn't all that bad, he was brought over purely as depth, if he can perform well for us at WAFL level and step up at AFL that's just a bonus.

Reidy and Worner aren't there either. Might be some changes to that Peel line up. There's 11 named so far. I think they might have had 13 Freo players last week but I doubt whether the limits on players applies in pre-season games with the extended benches (although this week it looks like 22 vs 22) and some players, like Fyfe last week, only playing limited minutes.
