All you WA people. Ive just gotten back to melbourne from the US and spent last week in Perth catching up with family/friends. I grew up in Perth but left many years ago. So Sunday night, my best mate and I headed out for a froffy. We arrived in Northbridge around 10. Literally the ONLY places open were a shit and empty Irish pub opposite the closed Mustang bar, and a joint full of 18 year olds called the Shed. We drove all over the city and Northbridge and Leederville, and NOTHING was open, and the Shed was the only thing happening. It was honestly like being in a country town. 10pm on a Sunday night and not a thing was happening. Even strip clubs were closed. We asked a bouncer at the Shed, as we were staggered. ive been out in Perth in previous times on a Sunady and had good nights. His response was the economy has slowed massively but the cost of living is still through the roof. The only people who can afford $10 beers are FIFO who get breath tested.
What a campaigner of a place to live, when you cant even get a beer on a Sunday night. Is this seriously what Perth has become?
