That's true. Hawthorn are pretty good off the field but the coach should pay for the insipid performances this year and underperformance last year.

Its a funny one. 12 months ago there was talk about Schwab not getting another contract and them the winning streak started. In hindsight signing him up looks to be a crappy decision.
But had Melbourne had Neale Daniher's contract expire at the end of last year he probably would have not been given another contract - things can turn very quickly from year to year.
Buckenara has to do a bloody good job with the players he picks for the Hawks this year. Hawks are probably suffering from a few of Turnbulls ordinary draft picks like Elstone and Brennan who haven't developed. I don't think Turnbull had a great nack for picking footballers, he liked s*itty athletes.
To be fair to Neale Daniher, Melb have played finals every second year, so if they were weighing it up, they'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Goes to show that track record does count for something...And they did get to a grand final.
What I'd do to see Hawthorn play in a Grand Final....

I think you will find that quite a few others felt the same way. Yesterday was totally out of left field. Don Scott went quiet for a while, it was like the calm before the storm.

Look I aint a hawk fan but I think that Peter Schwab is a great bloke. So my message to you hawk fans. For the next six weeks attend as many games as possible, and when attending each and every game: Shout,
Yell,
Sream,
Be passionate,
And be as helpful to your club as possible.
The club is going through a tough time at the moment and Peter Schwab NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT AND ENTHUSIAM for the next 6 weeks! Congratulations to Jason Dunstall(Channel Seven) on being appointed as C.E.O. until the end of the season. Also futher rumblings on the club this week. I can state a fact as this was true: On the the Monday Board meeting the Board put forward to the President(Ian Dicker) the fact of the attendence of the Hawks game a day earlier. I can assure you that they were Imbaressed that this was the lowest attendence for a AFL match at the MCG in over 50 years. So please attend all remaining games of the season, especially this week as your playing arch rivials MELBOURNE. Reguardless of the both sides positions on the Ladder I will also assure you that they will do their absolute best to win this game. They will play with more passion and repect than have been doing all season!

Why did (Channel 7) need to be put next to Dunstall's name? I think we would know who he is.
Also, we are going to play with spirit because our coach was sacked? Do you remember a month ago when we played our supposed ' most fierce game in a decade' ? enough talk, the action has begun and there is plenty more needed before we are to be anything at all.

Very low attack on someone, didn't you read that he is not a Hawks fan? Young people may only know of Dunstall from his work on channel seven. As for your comments on Hawks supporters they may be right because it seems that Victorian Hawthorn supporters lack heart. If supporters in Melbourne are not interested then they should relocate more matches to Tassie.

Tige19 is right though, it is a business. Jacqui9 lives in a fairy land. A very loyal supporter granted, however too unrealistic too often. We can all be guilty from time to time, of being unrealistic. I myself posted a thread earlier regarding Dicker and his board members pay Schwab personally for their blunder, yes an unrealistic comment which would never happen. Nevertheless, the frequency of Jacqui9's posts illustrate that she has NO CLUE. Just keep buying your membership though like the rest of us
